Overall, I do really like this sound machine, but it took me a while to figure out how to use it. It is a little bit quirky, and the directions could definitely be more clear. So, first, things that I like: 1. It is very portable. As someone who likes to travel but is a chronic insomniac, it is a great alternative to the app I currently use on my phone. I only sleep well with white noise to block out other ambient noise. While I have been using a sound machine app on my phone, the sound quality on this little machine is nicer. 2. There are a wide variety of sounds. For myself personally, I'm only likely to use the "white noise"/ sleep aid noise, but I could imagine that having the variety could be very helpful when using this with children 3. It is rechargeable - no need to worry about batteries Things to be aware of: 1. It starts off with a Christian song, which is odd and a one-off 2. It took me some time to figure out how to switch between the different types of sounds available, and it still isn't a smooth process for me. It could definitely have clearer instructions included, and it could definitely be more intuitive.

Portable sound machines are in demand these days. This one outputs good sound quality but otherwise is not the best of the lot, especially because many of its musical modes are extremely weak and suited for little kids (and even then you'd probably want something else!). The sound effects variations are better but not any more diverse or different than what you can find on other (cheaper) units. Plus the menu is kind of odd as well. There is, to its credit, some bluetooth functionality and a good 2000mAh battery, but overall these elements aren't as well integrated or accessible as you'd like. Overall we had a mixed experience with this.

While this white noise machine is mainly geared at babies and toddlers, but it does have some other "background noises" like a forest or the ocean that are fun for anyone. It's a nice portable size and easy to charge. It has a LOT of noises to choose from, like lullabies, nature sounds, and calming noises. Although for some reason, even with 62 sounds there aren't a lot of "normal" white noise sounds. And as others have mentioned the one that have singing are a bit strange. The buttons can be a bit sensitive, but isn't too bad once you get used to it. It's also a really great value especially with more choices than much more expensive sound machines! Overall, it's a great purchase for those with young ones they care for.

I’ve tried a few white noise machines over the years, but the Glocusent is by far my favorite portable version. The first thing that stood out to me was the huge variety of sounds—62 total! I would never use them all but great for someone who likes variety. It’s not just the usual static or rain; there are gentle ocean waves, crackling campfires, wind through trees, soft lullabies, and even ambient tones that are great for focus or meditation. It’s like having a whole sound library in one compact little device. The Bluetooth feature is a great bonus—I can stream calming playlists or meditations from my phone when I want to switch it up. It’s lightweight and rechargeable, so it’s been perfect for travel and doesn’t take up much space on my nightstand or even in a small bag/carryon. Battery life is solid, and the timer function is super easy to set before bed. It’s helped me fall asleep faster, and I’ve actually started using it during the day while working too—it really blocks out background noise. If you’re looking for a white noise machine that goes beyond the basics, this one’s absolutely worth it.

I haven't used the Bluetooth connection. I got this strictly for the white noise and sounds so if I have trouble sleeping it may help. I went through a fair amount of the sounds. It has the usual rain sounds, animal sounds in the woods, somebody using a vacuum cleaner, etc. The sound I like the best so far is called 'Universe'. I don't know how to explain it but I think it sounds the best so far out of the sounds I've listened to. I used it this morning when I was still in bed. I just pushed the play button and I already had it on the Universe sound and I just let it play for a while. It played Universe for a while and then started cycling through other sounds like crickets chirping, rain, etc. It goes pretty loud so I reduced the sound to 15 or 20%. If it's too loud even if the sound is good or soothing I would think it would be hard to fall asleep. This morning 15 or 20% fit the bill. It's small so it will be good for travel. I might take it on vacations. It feels nice. I recommend checking this out.
