    • DO A LOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE INSTALLING
Probably a good product. Seemed to be good materials and close to stock. But its very important to follow instructions to a T. I reinstalled this thing so many times and couldn’t get it to work because i wasn’t putting the smooth cylinder on. So i ended up just putting the oem variator with the new weights. I had an extra washer at the end but didnt think much of it. BIG MISTAKE my whole cvt exploded on the highway. Apparently that one washer is very important for friction resistance and the plastic plate of the varator melted off leading to catastrophic failure at 8000rpm. My varator sawed thru my crankshaft and effectively totaled my under 4000mile engine. ... show more

I've ordered different variatorsand didn't have much luck with them staying together because the plastic guides kept breaking but this particular variator has been in a while and is working fine no noise or breaking or cracks on the weight guides. Good variator
