100% wool is still the best option for maintaining warmth and keeping you dry in everything from moderate to extreme conditions. Unlike down, synthetics and especially cotton, it continues to work whether wet or dry from external sources or perspiration. Wool has a seemingly innate 'intelligence' unsurpassed by other insulators in my experience. Staying dry is large part of why wool is so effective. The clamminess present in cotton and synthetics is absent with wool. Only down seems to be more effective in dry or frozen conditions but if it gets wet, useless. If you're used to synthetics and cotton, 100% wool will be a revelation. As for these, well made, true to size and unlike many other slippers, my feet don't slide around in them as much as other slippers. More shoe-like. This makes walking in them safer. You won't have to shuffle around in them. Just walk normally. They fit like a glove. Expect some pilling. Normal for wool. Not something to be concerned about. I recommend the rubber soul option given that it has very effective non-slip properties and will stand up to a short walk outside to pick up the mail. In spite of Glerups advertising, I wouldn't use these outdoors for extended periods. One of Glerups videos shows someone walking in sand and through a pasture. Doing these things seems highly likely to result in a shortened service life. Glerups cleaning instructions say to lightly brush them and use wet rags to wipe them down. I do a cold water soak in a wool rated detergent 1-2 times per year, thoroughly rinse and air dry but perhaps necessary. No downside that I've noticed but some might say that the natural oils in wool might be impacted. I'd recommend wearing a 100% wool sock as a liner. This will keep them clean longer. Also more comfortable. I usually wear "YUN Men's Natural Pure 100% Wool Warm Boot Winter Socks" which are available from Amazon. They're sold in three packs. Good socks, decent quality, decent price. I also have a pair of calf high Bure Bure wool boots that are very similar to these aside from height. Almost 5 years old, regular winter use, 100% wool felt, same thickness, rubber soul. They are still in excellent condition. After the last wearing of the season, store them in a moth proof container, preferably something breathable. Bottom line, wonderful slippers. Pricey compared to ~15 dollar synthetics but much higher performing. Highly recommended.

These slippers are the best slippers I’ve ever owned. They are warm and comfortable. The wool material is soft and excellent quality. The natural material is odor and stain resistant. The rubber soles are slip resistant and make for an excellent house shoe. The grey color is pretty and neutral. I used to buy new slippers every year but after a year of having these I know they will last for years to come. Overall these are a great value and if the time comes to where I will need to replace them, I will gladly purchase another pare of Glerups.

After sizing issues with another brand AND this brand (purchase, ship, return, repeat, etc. and waiting forever), I ordered these in a euro size 42 (why such strange and confusing sizes?, a royal pain in the A$$) and they fit perfectly, even with odor-eaters! I just hope they don'y get too sloppy after wearing them in. I have only had them on for a few minutes but they seem to keep my feet comfortable, warm, and dry. Well worth the extra $. Not wearing them outside - no chance!

Love, love, love these slippers! They keep my feet warm, and rewarm them quickly if my feet were cold in shoes. I wear them with one pair of socks (personal preference) and highly recommend! 》Side note: for people who are unsteady on their feet or have poor balance but walk around (vs sit a lot), I would NOT recommend them. They have a slightly rounded bottom and could add to their unsteadiness or a potentially a fall.

I ordered the slippers. Excellent design & materials but unsuitable for all-day wear. Right shoe, wrong style. Tried the shoes, then the boots.. I’ve worn the boots for six weeks straight. Better than barefoot. even the best ordinary shoes force me to walk unnaturally. Shoe people always said “it’s the way you walk”. I said “you aren’t designing shoes for the way humans walk”. The first few days were painfull. Considered returning them for the fourth time. Bought a size smaller than I require. Like Birks, Glerups need time to mold to your shape. After that, it’s a warm hug. It’s just a big, wool sock you can do the shopping in. Glerups don’t force my foot into unnatural positions or restrict movement. If you dance with kittens on tile floors, these may be for you. Rubber soles that grip & flex just enough. They look amazing- the way shoes for human feet should look. No ornament, no excess, natural colors, comfortable materials. Ordinary shoes now feel like walking on vaguely foot shaped trays, bound to my foot by leather, cloth & chemicals. Haven’t figured out why more people aren’t wearing these or similar shoes, unless it’s the price or lack of support/stabilizing properties. All that said, I’m not certain constant wear is healthy (we’ll see) and I want more sole under the outer heel. Update: I’ve been wearing these boots exclusively, for about a year. They’re slightly loose, one heel is coming undone, the felt is thinning out in one spot but they look good.after a clean & trim.. Still the only thing I’m wearing. Keep a second pair for going out and you’re set.

These wool house boots are just what I have been looking for! They are true to size and not tight around the toes. Keep my feet warm and wick away moisture, so no sweaty feet. Excellent quality. Note - these are flat bottom, no memory foam, nor any kind of arch support. After wearing a few days they do adjust to the shape of your foot. I got with rubber soles to wear to the mailbox and find them very comfortable, but still consider them house boots only. My last pair of house slippers hand synthetic sheer lining which was warm but began to have an odor even after spraying insides several times with Lysol.
