I spends a lot of time playing the keyboard everyday, so a nice piano bench is very important to me. I have gone through my fair share of piano benches over the years. However, this X-Style Adjustable Height Keyboard Bench Padded has become my new go-to bench for all of my musical needs. It is very comfortable. The 2.5 inch thick foam padding provides an incredibly cushioned surface that supports my backside for hours of uninterrupted playing. It's kind of small but it is pretty sturdy. I got it for my son who has a keyboard in his room with limited space. He's 5'10'' and about 180 lbs. He said it's a firm, small bench that would be great in smaller spaces. We'll see how long it holds up but for now, it fits his need.

Overall, a decent product, well made with quality materials. You will need to adjust the height to meet your needs by repositioning the screw placement on each of the "X" brace/supports. The only real issue we have and the reason for only three stars on comfort is the fact that at the highest possible setting, it is approximately 2 inches LOWER than any other benches we own and use with other instruments. May or may not be an issue for your needs and it's not insurmountable for us but it is a flaw in the design, as we see it. NOTE: Once "assembled," you may find it to be somewhat uneven and rocks back and forth. Look closely at the rubber pads on the bottom of the supports resting on the floor. You'll notice that they EACH ONE has varying thicknesses (identical to each of the 4 pads). This allows you to rotate each one independently to adjust til you get relatively even contact with the floor. ... show more

The GLEAM Keyboard Bench is a surprisingly good bench for a very reasonable price. There is almost no assembly required - you just lock the leg into the bracket and tighten the nut. Adjusting the height is only a little bit more complicated. You need to remove the screw, the nut, and the washer and reinstall them into the appropriate holes. I had to raise the height of the bench to the tallest setting in order to fit my keyboard and to match the height of my other bench. The bench is comfortable to sit on. It's a little bit less stable than my more expensive bench, but I have no concerns about it wobbling or falling off. I was prepared to have to assemble this bench, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was already assembled! It adjusts to 4 different heights. Adjusting the height is very easy; you just unscrew and reinsert the screw where you want your height. The cushioning is good, and it feels sturdy. I don't feel like it is going to wobble, of collapse under my weight. It does not slide on my tile floor either, so it feels safe to sit on. ... show more

I would use this more to stand or place items on top of, than for sitting. It can be a footrest too, when watching television or relaxing.

This bench was easy to set up right out of the box. It holds a good amount of weight and is extremely sturdy.
