  • Nice shine! Used as a natural redhead
Color: Auburn Spice
My hair is softer and has a nice shine. First photo is my natural red color (haven’t been in the sun much this summer so it leans more brown) and photo two is my first attempt using the glaze. I didn’t have gloves so I don’t think I used as much product as I should have. Will be trying again and updating my review! ... show more

  • Worked perfectly
Color: Auburn Spice
So I am a natural redhead. It’s auburn, so it’s a dark reddish-brown. It’s basically impossible to color match. Anyways, about a year ago I wanted to go blonde. I decided after 6 months the upkeep was too much so I wanted my natural hair color back. I used wella and it ended up coming out more of a brown color so I did a light bleach bath which worked but it left my hair extremely dry to the point of it being dangled constantly. It also left me with what looked like highlights and I despised it. I wanted to try overtone but alls they have for redheads is an orange color. I came across this and got it because it was half the price. I went with auburn spice because it says it adds mahogany/brown tones which is what I needed. My hair feels so soft. The color looks exactly like my natural red too I couldn’t be happier. I washed this out in the laundry sink because it does take a bit to wash out. It smells amazing too and my hair feels soooo soft and healthy, it isn’t damaging at all. It says to leave it in for 10 mins, but I wanted these highlights gone so I did 20-25 mins. Totally up to your preference though! The first photo is the after, the second is my hair before. I also had a few inches cut because of the bleach so it left my hair looking stringy and in desperate need of a haircut. I did a blowout on my hair and I am in love with it all over again. ... show more

  • Nice product TERRIBLE packaging
Color: Auburn Spice
This color depositing conditioner really leaves a nice overall color and shine to my hair. At 49 im not ready to go grey but dying my hair every few months was leading to too much damage. This seems like a great alternative. I put a generous amount of the product on, cover my hair in a shower cap and wait 20-45mins. Then I just shower it out. The good: My hair feels like it’s had a deep conditioning. It’s shiny and soft, smells good and the color is even, nice and natural looking. And it lasts 3-4 weeks. The BAD: the bottle is shaped in such a way as to make it nearly impossible(!) to get the conditioner out. I’ve bought and used this twice and both times have had to remove the cap altogether just to get the thick product out. The bottle is Very hard to squeeze. And it’s SUPER messy - even with gloves! You need to squeeze some out, work it through your hair, try and squeeze more out, repeat. Meanwhile it’s getting EVERYWHERE. The second time I used this product, I thought I could hack the mess by better preparing my area but it was just as if not more messy this time around. Bottom line - the product is really nice but the packaging is SO bad that I think I’m going to cancel my subscription and try a competitors brand :( ... show more

  • Be careful if your a blond ginger otherwise awesome
Color: Copper Crush
Helps with damaged hair but made my hair the wrong color i have blond ginger dyed hair and this looked really promising to help with damage and add a boost of color every now and then buuut it turned me into Ariel like little mermaid red. My hair was slightly lightened but i didn't expect such a crazy shift. Its not horrible but that why i gave it only 4 stars my hair felt so smooth and silky after i washed it and the color deposit was very nice all over its a good product i just had user error and picked a wrong color. ... show more

  • Great product - packaging could use work.
Color: Auburn Spice
I got highlights and balayage mixed with my dark brown hair - it was bleached then a dark auburn was put over it. Fast forward 4 months later and 2 beach trips and my hair was totally faded and blonde. This glaze revived my hair and made it super soft and silky. The only downside was the top literally broke so I had to unscrew the cap and dump it out. It’s actually pretty thick. Once it broke it kind of made a mess. I did have to go buy gloves… I would NOT use this without gloves. I could see it staining your nails. There’s about half left and I’ll be using again when it fades. Curious to see how long it lasts. ... show more

  • This color will not make your hair look natural. This color will make your hair look ridiculous.
Color: Copper Crush
Beware if you are an actual real redhead and you don’t wanna look like a fake clown this is not the product for you. After washing three times with clarifying shampoo, baking soda I stopped crying then spent $80 at Sally’s to get color remover bleach because it turned my very light roots, Brown and the rest of my head, a clown orange. These products are not made for people who care what their hair looks like. ... show more

  • Auburn Spice Glaze brings life to dull natural redheads
Color: Auburn Spice
This is for the auburn spice color. My hair is virgin/natural auburn but my color has been turning darker and more brown with age. I have long, semi thick, wavy hair. I took a shower, shampooed twice, then liberally applied the glaze. It came out of the bottle easily and applied smoothly. I let it sit on my hair for about 10 minutes then I rinsed it out. It did not stain my face or hands (I thought it might at first but it washed off my skin easily), but it has left some marks on my shower where I didn’t see it/wash it right away. I used less than half the bottle of glaze and probably have two more uses from this bottle. Results: my hair was immediately softer, smoother, and shinier. I didn't notice any change in color initially and I thought it didn’t do much, until the next day at work. I got quite a few comments about how vibrant my hair was, and how pretty it looked. I took a photo 24 hours (photo on right) after the “before” photo (on left) and realized that my hair did indeed look more vibrant auburn! I haven’t washed my hair since the initial coloring, and only wash my hair 2x/week so I hope the results lasts a while… Now I’m in love with this product. I will try using it on clean, dry hair next to see if that makes it even more vibrant. ... show more

  • It did nothing. Maybe less than nothing.
Color: Auburn Spice
It….did….nothing. I’m giving it two stars instead of one because at least it didn’t damage my hair. But it did absolutely nothing for it. I’m a natural redhead with very healthy low porosity wavy hair that goes roughly 5 -6 inches past my shoulders. In my forties, the richness of my dark strawberry blondeish auburn mix color has faded. I’ve used several brands of color masks and glosses previously to try to find the right shade to return it to its original shade. It took over one month for this to arrive which is annoying but I was excited to finally try it. The bottle design is as horrible as other reviews warn so I was prepared to dump it in a bowl after an extended time period getting it out of the stiff bottle. I used an entire bottle and was glad I bought several just in case that first bottle didn’t have enough. I sectioned my clean damp hair and saturated each area carefully then let it process for 25 minutes. Minimal staining to my sink that came off with bleach and very little staining on my skin since I wiped it off quickly when it strayed from my hair. It’s not a messy mask and came off of surfaces and skin as easily as other brands do. Rinsed with cold water. It did not leave my hair soft. It did not make it shiny. It added zero color. Zero. And my hair was more frizzy than it’s ever been. I wasted a full hour with this process after waiting a full month for it to arrive. I’m disappointed but at least it’s not damaged or dyed bright orange. I’m glad it worked for others and am surprised it didn’t for me since my hair grabs color well. But I definitely wasted my money. ... show more
