I absolutely love this! I have been an aquarium hobbyist for many years and I love trying out new products. This is a great all in one kit that will have you up and running in no time at all. Very easy to assemble and setup and high quality glass and the materials used are all good. I love how beautiful it looks once set up and it’s definitely worth the price. The filter and light both work great and are good enough for small plants and small fish. I have had lots of success using these types of setups. The filter is pretty quiet and I don’t notice it much. This kit includes substrate and fake plants but I recommend getting real plants to help keep the water clean. The biggest cause of fish deaths is due to over feeding, so don’t feed them more than once a day and only enough they can eat in a minute or two. If there is food on the bottom you should remove that before it rots. I would highly recommend this because it’s made from good material and it looks beautiful. It has everything you need except a heater, so look into that if you live in cold areas.

This is my 10th aquarium. The first thing I noticed once taking it out of the box was the quality of the glass. I've been reading on aquarium forums that you can tell what kind and the quality of the glass by looking at the edge. The edge of the glass in this aquarium reminds me of crystal. It's VERY clear. As far as design, I'm a fan. It's a bit smaller than I'm used to, but I'm going to experiment with neocaradina breeding and I suspect it will be a little bit easier to put some of the high qualities together in a smaller space for a little while. The light and the filter are on the simple side, however, having this filter taking up so little space, as compared to a sponge filter. I'll probably run it along side a mini-sponge. The light is brighter than I expected from a USB cable but based on my experience with planted tanks, it should definitely cover your Javas, crypts, anubias, and mosses. You'd have to do the math to find out the PAR before you decided to go with carpeting plants. I'm sure you could experiment with CO² since a moderate off the shelf system would last some time. Construction and Quality: Glass A+, Light B+, Filter A I'm currently preparing to get a flourite Black sand for my substrate. A few weeks ago I plastidipped the back panel of my 5Gal tanks and it looks amazing with galaxy sand. The black background panel on this aquarium is definitely a big positive for me. Considerations: USB powered! You can run your whole aquarium by battery bank in a power outage. The impeller looks good (build) and runs quietly. The filter has a leveling knob on the bottom. Turn this until your filter is upright with just a little lean towards the aquarium to ensure any accidental overflow spills into the tank. The filter is ready to go as is, great for beginners, but if you're in the know, you know consumable filters are not going to give you an eco-sysyem. I plan on putting some biomedia and a good shopping for mechanical. I use carbon rarely, mostly to remove tannins,. I'm going to try sneaking this into my officle.

I set this 2.8-gallon tank up on my home office desk as a small aquascape, and it’s been a nice little display piece so far. The first thing I noticed is how clear the glass is. The visibility is genuinely good—there’s very little distortion when you look from the front or sides, and it makes plants, substrate, and fish stand out. For a small tank, that clarity really helps it feel more “premium” than the typical budget nano aquariums. The included filter is quiet and suitable for a desktop environment. I keep it running while I work and it doesn’t distract me. It’s not a powerhouse (and shouldn’t be expected to be at this size), but with regular maintenance and reasonable stocking, it keeps the water clear. I still do small weekly water changes like with any nano tank. The LED light is bright enough for basic viewing and low-light plants. It brings out fish colors nicely at night and gives the tank a clean, modern look. If you’re trying to grow demanding plants, you’d probably want a stronger light, but for simple setups it does the job. Size-wise, it’s truly compact. It fits easily on a desk or countertop and works well in small spaces like an office or bedroom. Just keep in mind 2.8 gallons is limited—you need to stock lightly and stay on top of maintenance. This is better for a betta or a few nano fish/shrimp, not a community tank. Pros • Very clear, high-visibility glass • Quiet filter suitable for desks • Nice LED lighting for display • Compact and space-friendly • Good starter kit with essentials included Cons • Small volume means more frequent maintenance • Light and filter are basic, not high-end • Not suitable for many or large fish Overall, I think it’s a solid little nano tank for someone who wants a decorative aquarium in a small space. As long as you understand the limits of a 2.8-gallon setup and maintain it properly, it’s a good-looking and functional starter aquarium.
