I grabbed this 2qt glass baking dish because I really needed something smaller for side dishes when I don't want to pull out my massive casserole pans. The tempered glass feels very thick and durable. It is about 11" long which is a perfect size for roasting a vegetable side or making a single box of brownies. The clear color is nice because I can see exactly how the food is browning through the sides. I really love the feature where the lid actually doubles as a second shallow baking dish. It is so useful to be able to bake two things at once or just use the lid to keep food warm without wasting a bunch of foil. The quality of the polished glass is great and it has a very smooth surface that keeps food from sticking too badly. It is extremely easy to clean since I can just soak it for a minute and then toss it right into the dishwasher. The price is a solid value since you are basically getting two different pans in one set. It fits perfectly in my cabinets without taking up much space, and it feels like it will hold up to a lot of heat in the oven for a long time.

Foil on top, plastic wrap for the fridge, something different for church potlucks. That patchwork gets old, and it adds up. My wife and I have gradually shifted to a plant-based diet, which means casseroles, roasted vegetables, and other oven meals are a regular part of our week. This dish came into our kitchen at exactly the right moment. We make a pasta and tofu casserole that goes together quickly and heads straight into the oven, and the leftovers fit perfectly with the lid on. No additional covering needed going into the refrigerator. After our first meal centered around his dish, my wife pointed out that we hadn't reached for the aluminum foil once. In our kitchen that’s saying something For two of us it's the right size. For a larger crowd, you might want something larger. The tempered glass feels substantial. It doesn't flex or rattle when you're carrying a full dish to the table, which matters a lot when the contents are hot. The clear lid lets you check on things without lifting it and releasing all the moisture you've been building up. That can make a real difference in how the food comes out. We've already used the lid separately for roasting a small batch of vegetables. That’s a real nice benefit. Cleanup is straightforward. Nothing has stuck in a way that required serious effort, and we wash our dishes by hand. It should be a breeze in a dishwasher. Value Rating: Worth Having. This is the kind of dish that becomes indispensable because it solves several small kitchen frustrations at once. I ordered this fully aware that I was selecting a glass casserole dish, and I am happy to report it has stayed very true to that identity. This is a 2 quart glass baking dish with a lid. It holds food, goes in the oven, and comes out looking like you made a responsible life choice. The size is solid. Big enough for a proper casserole, baked pasta, or anything that involves layering ingredients and hoping for the best. It is not oversized, but it is definitely not one of those dishes that makes you question who this portion was meant for. The glass feels sturdy and handles heat well. I have used it in the oven without any issues, and it cools at a normal pace, meaning you will still forget it is hot at least once. That part is on you. The lid fits well and is actually useful for storage, which I appreciate. You can go from oven to fridge without needing to involve plastic wrap and a minor engineering effort. Cleanup is easy. Nothing has stuck in a way that made me reconsider my life. It washes well and still looks clear, not cloudy or sad. There is nothing flashy about this, and that is exactly the point. It does not beep, connect to anything, or require a subscription. It just shows up, does its job, and leaves you with food. In a world of increasingly complicated products, this felt almost suspiciously straightforward. I am absolutely loving this glass casserole dish. It is very nice quality, heavy, with thick tempered glass for long term durability. It has about 9.5 X 7.2 inches of actual food storage capacity, but including the thick glass and side handles this dish measures about 11.4 X 7.7 inches in size. This dish is about 2.5 inches deep, so it is a convenient size for a nice family sized casserole. When the lid is in place the dish stands about 3.8 inches high. I was skeptical when I first saw that the lid had no top handle and the appearance made me think this lid would just slide right off of the dish. I was surprised that the lid sits securely on the dish and will not slide off easily. The ridges around the lid help hold it in place and decrease the chances of having to clean green bean casserole out of the trunk of your car. I actually love that the lid does not have a top handle because now I can use it as an extra baking dish. When the lid is flipped upside down it looks and functions just like another dish. The lid is an inch and a half thick so it is not quite deep enough for a casserole, but for baking something like chicken it’s perfect. I think this dish is an excellent value at the current 35 bucks because you are basically getting a bonus baking dish! It is easy to clean because you can just place the dish and the lid in the dishwasher and run it through a normal wash cycle with the rest of your dishes. Overall, I am very happy with this casserole dish. It is durable, nice quality, and versatile for making, storing, and warming a variety of foods. If you are looking for a new casserole dish, look no further. I would highly recommend giving this one a try.
