  • Good product.
Color: Transparent Wine Red
Amazing for the price. I recommend getting one. I did a setup on mine and it plays wonderfully.

  • Pretty good for the price.
Color: Transparent Wine Red
Surprisingly very nice. Bought this for $66, plus tax and $20 shipping, about $94 total. It came well packed, with everything promised in the ad (gig bag, picks, etc.). The neck was straight, frets ends nicely filed, action a little high but playable, no fret buzz, and intonation spot on. Tuners seem to work well and it tuned up nicely. The back of the neck felt like it had bits of sawdust in the finish, but some 1500 grit sandpaper helped to clean it up. The red body looks good, nice colour and woodgrain. with a couple spots that might need a bit of buffing. Pearl pickguard looks cool, lol. The bridge is slightly tilted but strings line up pickups fairly well. Controls feel cheap but work ok. The neck humbucker doesn't sound too bad, the bridge is too bright and somewhat harsh (at least to my ears). I bought this to modify and it is a great platform to use. ... show more

  • What's not to like with a $86 tele including shipping?
Color: Transparent Wine Red
I've been playing guitar a long time and have my share of acoustics and electrics. I bought this guitar to be my back porch guitar and not have to worry about humidity or temp damage (enclosed but unheated porch). It came in excellent condition. I polished the frets, shimmed the neck to lower the action, polished the fretboard, set the relief and intonation, and changed strings. Great playing instrument! The fret ends could use a little smoothing, and I may do that later. ... show more

  • For the money, acceptable
Color: Transparent Wine Red
It is worth the price paid. I bought it to upgrade. The weight (around 5 lbs) is why I looked in the first place. My 800.00 tele is too heavy for me anymore. At 70 yrs old, gigs are challenging in more ways than one. I am a maple neck guy and disappointed a maple neck is not offered on this unit. I leveled, trimmed and set the guitar up and it is playable now. Maybe a beginner would be satisfied but anyone who has played for a while and had a 500.00 plus guitar would not like out of the box. The neck pick up is warm and OK but the bridge p/u is too bright. The bridge was challenging to get suitable playing condition. The finish was shiny and except for a few dings and imperfections overall decent. In conclusion I have ordered a new maple neck and an upgrade bridge. If these upgrades make it possible to gig with I will be happy. If not, my granddaughter is learning to play and I will give it to her. ... show more

  • Very Good Guitar for the price.
Color: Transparent Wine Red
Plesantly surprised at the quality at this price point. For that alone, a five star rating. There was only a single fret with one corner high - that was easilly correct. Be prepared to set the intonation and adjust the string height. The neck pickup is a keeper, but the bridge a bit wimpy. I will probably change that out soon. It's perfectly workable after a good setup. It completes my Tele family. Very Please! Additional Comment: I rework the shape of the neck to make it look more Tele like :-) ... show more

  • Fun guitar
Color: Transparent Wine Red
This is the second one I purchased. The first was a gift and I liked it enough to buy one for myself. Glarry fixed the profile of the neck, so it's no longer a baseball bat. It still has a matte finish, but that's easily fixed if you don't prefer it. No snags on the frets. Fretboard is super dry, also easily fixed. Finish looks great. Action is pretty good. Strings sound cheap. I planned on swapping out stuff when I bought it, but it's very playable out of the box. ... show more

  • Pleasantly shocked at this guitar.
Color: Transparent Wine Red
I got this guitar as a “cheap” guitar I could travel with and not take my G&L or Fender tele. I figured I would need to totally re-do everything and then it would be usable. Maybe this one was an “outlier” but IT IS FANTASTIC. Without any mods, without any adjustments, and without even changing to expensive strings, out of the box I tuned it and gave it a try. WOW. Someone even had done intonation! It has thru the body strings. There are brass saddles at the bridge. The fret edges are rounded. The switch and pots have no static. There is no hum. With the neck humbucker and the bridge single coil I can get almost any sound from funk to blues to country. And the guitar is very light. (I wish I had one this weight 30 years ago playing all night in bars! hehehe). Anyway, I hope all of these are of this high quality. I AM IMPRESSED. I LOVE THIS GUITAR. ... show more

  • Defective tuning machines included, with poor customer support.
Color: Transparent Wine Red
The finish on this guitar’s body was very good. All the pickups, control pots and the 3-way switch work as expected. The general appearance of the guitar is excellent, especially when considering the price point. When the guitar was delivered, I noticed the following issues: All frets were sticking out of the fretboard on both sides, just enough to scratch skin. Four frets had high spots. The frets were also unfinished, on top, and gritty. Two tuning machines were not working correctly. One was completely difficult to turn and not at all usable. The neck’s relief was not correctly adjusted and the slots in the nut were not cut accurately. The guitar’s action was far too high, at 3.5mm from the 12th fret. The guitar’s neck felt extremely rough on the back, particularly when moving the hand up and down the fretboard. These issues made the guitar unplayable, as received. I corrected the issues with the frets, by filing and polishing them, as needed. I adjusted the truss rod, replaced and adjusted the nut, then set the guitar’s action to a playable level. I sanded the back of the neck with 400, 600 and 800 grit paper to give it a silky, smooth feel when playing. Since I had purchased a guitar previously from Glarry, I accept that their guitar is a project, requiring a significant amount of work. I was not surprised at the amount of work needed, to make the instrument usable. I was, however, not happy with the defective tuning machines. I contacted the Glarry company, requesting 2 tuning machines and offering to return the defective ones. Their response was to send me a link, to tuning instructions for the guitar. I responded to this, stating again, that the tuning machines were defective. The seller has not responded, so I gave a one-star rating, based on poor customer support. ... show more
