My quest for the perfect--or at least very good--bra has ended. During the last few months I tried several of the "step-in" and "pull-over-the-head" bras claimed to be the most comfortable wireless bras on the market. Certainly they are the most expensive. I returned each of them and decided to stick with my old favorite Glamorise front closure bra. I'm barrel-chested and so it's difficult to find a front closure bra that has a long enough band but doesn't make the cups too large. With this bra I can get a larger than usual band size with cups that fit properly. Additionally, at my age (70+) I need good support. I find wireless bras to be more binding than underwire bras. This underwire bra has extra padding around the wires. I also love the front closure. I do not want any padding in the cups--don't need it--and this bra has good coverage and provides a nice shape (no uniboob!) without the padding. I'm sensitive to fabric, but the lacey part of the cups doesn't irritate my skin. The padded straps are comfortable, too. I've worn this style for years and have found them to hold up very well. This is the most comfortable bra I’ve ever owned, it’s supportive, pretty, and the straps don’t fall down. I have three of them and would give 10 stars if I could. The sizing isn’t perfect (I have to size down), but this one is worth trying a few different sizes and sending back the ones that don’t fit. I read the reviews that discussed how complicated the hook on this bra is but I didn’t believe it could be that hard. I was wrong. This is ridiculously difficult. It’s also uncomfortable. I have a smaller torso and it digs under my arm puts. The wonder wire is no different that I can tell from any other underwire. I wanted to love this bra because it’s so pretty and the support is wonderful. But I can’t recommend it. Update: I decided to keep it because it really is very pretty and the support is awesome. I still can’t fasten it while it’s on so I fasten it and pull it on over my head. May wear out the stretch faster but …. at least it’s easy to unfasten while it’s on. The “wonder wire” is the wrong length for petite women and it does extend far enough under the arm pit to poke but it won’t be my daily bra anyway. I’m keeping it because nearly every bra I’ve tried puts most of the weight of these large, heavy, 70 year old boobs on my shoulders. Gives me headaches. This one doesn’t. ... show more
