The bad...a real pain to assemble, literally. I almost killed my dog because it collapsed all the way down while attaching a part to it, down to its full extended length. He was quite a distance from me, but the force of it collapsing sent it shooting straight in his direction and landed on his back with that full force. There was nothing that I could do to stop it as it shot towards him like a rocket. Let me tell you, that nearly made me throw it straight in the trash after the fright, worry, regret, and the previous frustration of putting the darn thing together thus far. So, word of warning, use extreme caution when assembling & don't let anything you care about within 10+ feet of you. Watch your fingers, too. The directions are pictures only. No words. WHY?! Why don't they put words?! The pictures are unclear in some bits and words would have been sooooo helpful and prevented unnecessary frustration. It's only by the grace of God that this thing ever got finished! Now for the good parts. I love the chair after assembly was finished. It is so comfortable and looks lovely in my garden. It looks high end and looks & feels very much like wood, down to the splinter (?) I got in my finger. I had to double check that the description does say plastic. I love the color. It's so pretty and goes well with my garden pots. The parts were all clearly labeled, thank goodness! I'm no stranger to assembling flat packed furniture building and I hate it with a hot and fiery passion, especially when the parts aren't labeled!!! So the fact that each piece was labeled was a huge deal! All the holes were lined up correctly so that all the corresponding pieces fit as they were supposed to do. There were no mistakes in the drilling or any mis-threaded bits. It comes with all the tools required to assemble it and I love the screwdriver's handle. I will be using it in the future for other projects because it doesn't hurt my hand to hold. it's a T shape rather than a traditional screwdriver handle shape. Genius! It's not completely necessary to have 2 people to assemble but it will probably help. Some things I've dealt with previously were definitely a 2 person job, impossible otherwise. Thank goodness that this was not such a project. Decent price. Fast shipping. Seems well made & durable. Hopefully it will last a long time so that I never, ever have to put another one together ever again. I haven't installed the drink holder yet & not sure if I will or not because I like how it looks without it. But it is a pretty handy bonus feature so it may go on some day.

This chair does need building but my husband said it was easy. It’s very sturdy and heavy duty! the gray is dark and perfect. It comes with a built in cup holder on one arm and I’m assuming a purse strap holder on the other. Functionally it’s definitely an Adirondack chair so not easy to get out of but everyone knows that whos sat in one. I really love this chair! I’ve seen the same chairs heavier like this one for double the cost. Ordering another one asap!

Been wanting a real Adirondack chair for quite a while. At 250lbs, I’ve broken plenty of molded plastic ones from the dollar stores. This is just fantastic! It’s made of what appears to be the same material that composite decking is made from. Came mostly put together. Final assembly was a piece of cake. The instructions were easy to follow, all of the pre drilled holes lined up perfectly, and all of the components / hardware were clearly marked. Even the included tools weren’t bad. Usually I just throw them away and use my own. Haha. I ended up with a nice, sturdy, comfortable chair. The only deviation to the instructions I took was installing the cup holder on the right side. It just made more sense to me. That’s my beer hand. This also folds up if you want to store it. Great deal on a great chair.

This chair is making me rethink my purchases of other, more expensive composite plastic Adirondack chairs. I was expecting something fairly flimsy but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. These are heavy, solid chairs. Nothing flimsy about them at all, this is good stuff! The chair parts were clearly labeled, and the nuts/bolts are packed in individual bags according to size and are also clearly labeled. This makes figuring out which bolt goes where so much easier vs holding them up to a screw size template in the instructions. So far, so good! Until it's not. Frustratingly, they elected to use a nut that will go on only one way, and only exactly once. Any attempt to back the nut out when you realize you've looked at the directions from the wrong angle and the nut needs to go on this side, not that side, will result in a fair amount of colorful language-filled time spent using a cutoff wheel to cut the bolt off, as it won't come off of its own accord. Extra bonus language that scares the dog when you realize that you have to drive to the hardware store or order another bolt online, since you have none of the right size at home to replace the one that you had to cut off, as someone decided it was a good idea to include nuts that... ah, never mind. The other assembly aspect of this to be aware of is that this is most definitely a two person job. Trying to go it alone will result in frustration, potential injuries, and other less than desirable outcomes. Get a helper. Once it is built though, it’s surprisingly nice. The drink holders are an appreciated touch, and they work well. The actual seating area is a little bit shorter from front to back vs. my other Adirondack chairs and that makes them more comfortable for folks who might feel like their legs are a little short for the traditional Adirondack design. My wife finds this one more comfortable for just that reason. Time will tell if they'll hold up, but these are a surprisingly good value - just make sure you pay attention to the directions.
