I actually liked this helmet a lot. It is light and sturdy. Seems like it would withstand the impact. The color combination I got was cheaper than others and I think overall I am very happy with price as well. The color came out to be fantastic. So no complain overall. I really love the form factor it doesn't block my view when I am in an aggressive position in race bike, so that is a great plus. The helmet only comes in one size it fits me great, no problem for me, but I don't think it would fit someone with large head. I am not very happy with the seller though. Seller first send me a helmet that is cracked. So I had to ask for a replacement. Amazon send me a replacement. The replacement was actually fantastic. Now, once the replacement came in, I compare it with the first one and I noticed quite a few differences in terms of design and materials. And the first helmet was shipped on a plastic bag. The second one came in a proper giro packaging. I am not sure what to make of it. Either the seller is selling counterfeit product or the manufacturer quality control is really unreliable. ... show more

After having some delivery issues and over 4 weeks to receive, it was very easy to fit this helmet to my head size. The helmet is so light and fits so well that I hardly know it is there. There is plenty of ventilation and my head is basically dry after a 35-minute track in NC humidity. In addition, it was very easy to attach a rear-facing light without any feeling it was there while on my head. I bought one of these, exactly the same, over 20 years-ago, in a store at a ski mountain in New Hampshire! I used it forever, every time I skied and really liked it. It kept my ears warm without a hat, and was basically just more comfortable, and believe it or not lighter, than a hat. Recently, because I'm older now and wasn't planning on skiing any more (so sad!) I gave my Giro to a friend for biking and such. At the same time I have a bike and bought a scooter and I had a couple helmets to use on the scooter, but regretting having given the Giro away, so I came here. I could barely believe they still make the exact same helmet (in only one size!) - so easy to replace. These are the best helmets on Earth in my opinion. They're remarkably light. There's nothing like them. Get one, don't hesitate because of the cost; I promise this is a helmet you can keep and use for multiple activities for the rest of your life! I'm gonna keep this one and hold it tight. I'd say they're irreplaceable but really they're just inimitable! Ten stars! ... show more

this helmet is incredibly light and fits snugly. the 22 vents provide excellent airflow, keeping my head cool during long rides. the matte portaro grey/white/red color scheme is stylish and stands out. highly recommend for both casual and serious cyclists.
