Pic* Hello. This childrens sweater is very well made, and I did love it. My son is 5 and he fits sizes 6, or size small. This size 6 sweater was pretty short. It went right above his belt loops. It looked okay for his photos but I didnt expect it to be that small. It didn't fit perfectly but it wasn't horribly small either. It was ALMOST just right! We had family photos so I didn't have time to return and resize. I just think if you want a size 6 for your toddler than size up 1 or 2 sizes. The knit of this sweater feels fine to the touch, but it fits way smaller than expected. A size 10 usually looks quite large on my son, but this size 10 sweater looks like he's about to grow out of it. The button holes are slightly too small for the buttons to fit through, and my son at age 7 is unable to button his own sweater because of this. The strip where the buttons and button holes are was knitted separately from the sweater and attached to the sweater with a sewing machine. It was NOT sewn on a serger to give the necessary stretch required when working with knits, NOR was it sewn with a zigzag stitch to accomplish the same thing. The result is that the seam where the button/buttonhole strip is attached to the sweater is completely inflexible and does not stretch, causing the strip to appear shorter than the rest of the sweater and rise up in front. Several of the threads used to sew the two pieces together have also broken (because there is no stretch due to the way it was sewn) causing huge holes between the body of the sweater and the button strip. Also, the strip has been knitted so the stretch is horizontal and the sweater is knitted so the stretch is vertical, which contributes to the lack of stretch and seams tearing. As I do not have the original tags and receipt I'm unsure if I can return it, so I guess I may just have to swallow this mistake in ordering. I may try to completely remove the strip with a seam ripper and sew it on with a flexible zig-zag stitch (or hand-sew it on) and see if it improves the sweater. Just an all-around disappointment if I'm honest. I wish I hadn't ordered it. ... show more

I can only assume they sewed the wrong size on this sweater. I ordered a size 14 and it's large on my husband, who although not tall, is definitely not still wearing kid sizes. But, it's made of cotton, and navy blue, so, I've got that going for me.
