OUCH! This is the second set of blades purchased on Amazon which are obvious fakes. The blue strip disappears after second shave and the blades PULL and CUT your skin. Where are they manufactured, AMAZON? Where are you buying this junk?

I did t think I’d ever write a review on shaving cream but then I never really noticed a significant difference between varieties. I’ve always used shaving cream for sensitive skin with varying results. Frankly, nothing has ever made it truly comfortable until now. First, the alpine scent smells great - clean yet musk-ish. That’s probably all personal preference though. Where this really shines is in how it improves the shave. After applying, you can feel a little tingle setting in. The coverage is good. While shaving it seems like most other creams. After completing, when cleaning up my face, I noticed an immediate difference. It feels like there is a thin coat of lubricant on my face. The towel slid over my face like a piston thru a well oiled cylinder. 30 minutes after the shave, I have noticed significantly less razor burn and irritation. I buy top of the line razors and use liberal amounts of after shave lotion. This is never even enough to eliminate razor burn. I would have NEVER thought a shaving cream could make this much difference. It does. Well worth a try. This is the exact variety I will be buying from here on out. ... show more

Original Review: It's a great product to use, and finally they have fixed the issue with gel keeping popping out after you released the button - thank you Gillette! HOWEVER, now the problem is that it stops working while the can is still half full, meaning that now we have to pay twice as much for it and replace it twice more often, which is very frustrating! Once this problem is fixed, this gel will definitely deserve five stars! UPD '2016: Amazon was great in sending me a replacement, however this keeps happening with EVERY can. This is a major flaw, this is why I'm lowering this to 1-star. Wake up, Gillette and fix the issue ASAP!!! UPD 02/15/2018: OK, I have to be fair. From the latest 4 cans I've used, ALL of them went all the way! So, hopefully the problem has been fixed by now, and the product itself delivers a FANTASTIC and SMOOTH shave (when paired with the latest ProGide / ProShield blades). Thus, I am a happy customer now and upgrading to 5 stars! :) ... show more

I've been a loyal customer of Gillette for 20 years for a good reason. These 5 blade fusion razors do the job perfectly. My shaves are always close and irritation free. The lube strip does a great job. Many times I don't even need shaving cream. The blades are pricey but worth it. I'm a fan for life. 5 stars. ... show more

These blades got some pretty bad reviews and I am not sure how a brand new blade from a reputable manufacture could be as bad as some of them made them out to be. But I have to say I was not as impressed as I expected to be. I have shaved with the first blade in the package maybe 4 shaves now and honestly, I just don't feel like they are as sharp as the Walgreen's knock-offs that I have bought. They aren't getting any duller yet, they just aren't as good. I probably will not purchase them again, and I may return them. ... show more

I'm a female who buys these for my own personal shaving. Never understood why women's razor handles are all plastic. Always loved the quality and sturdiness of the Gillette blades. The Gillette Fusion just happened to be the model I settled on ten or so years ago. I love the five blades and the quality of them. A twelve pack can last me eight to twelve months depending on my shaving techniques (soaking in the tub verses a quick shower). Gillette blades are a great product in my opinion. As for purchasing from this specific listing, I feel the product I received is authentic and the quality I've come to expect from Gillette. I'm unsure what happened to others who received less than quality blades. ... show more
