I wanted a small anchor I could easily use for my inflatable stand up paddle board. This anchor is perfect! I’ve used this to anchor my board and my friend’s board at once while we anchor in a good spot for swimming. We no longer have to tie off to a cypress tree and then walk in mucky water filled with sticks to get out into deeper water. We can just anchor right there! For reference I’m only using this in various Florida Springs so I haven’t tried it in wavy, windy conditions. The only issue I’ve noticed is my own fault. I purchased this anchor to use with an SUP when I paddle a spring-fed river, so that I can go swimming and not lose my board. The rope is extra long, and will hold up well in the water as well as dry quickly. The carabiner clip is dirty as well, and will attach to the same cord that can hold a leash. Also included is a dry bag, which is not necessary for the anchor, but an added bonus to keep other items dry on a paddling trip. I recommend anyone purchasing this anchor watch this video on YouTube, to see a clever way to rig it. I tried it myself and it is perfect.https://youtu.be/V__Mu_grl6g?si=RW19AjwkY-RL-mZ9. With regards to the weight at only 3 pounds, it works just fine if the clog rips the sand. The anchor itself is awesome. Rope is awesome. Buoy so far is awesome even though it's foam - we'll see how it holds up. The bag it came with is crap, lol. The anchor tore through the bottom seam just by my keeping it in the car. I'll get a different bag for it, maybe mesh. But yeah, docking a star just for that. Great anchor for kayak or SUP. included rope is high quality and the bag serves it's purpose. The only thing I recommend for anyone reading this is add a 1/4 inch marine grade stainless steel D shackle and a small zip tie, in order to rig it properly. See my picture for a proper setup. If it gets stuck you want to be able to pull the rope hard and break the zip tie, and have the rope pull the anchor out instead of setting itself deeper. ... show more

Like some reviews, change the placement of the knot to the bottom of the anchor, zip tie the rope to the top of the anchor, in case you get caught on a rock you can snap the tie and free the anchor by pulling from the back.
