I was in need of certain colored shirts and wound up ordering both Gildan and Russell brand “dry blends” XL. Side by side, the Gildan is 1” longer and wider in the body. The Gildan is slightly thicker while the Russell is slightly softer to touch. The Gildan looks slightly better out of the dryer. Both shirts are good quality and I would recommend either. When choosing a T to wear, if I were more concerned about appearance, I would go with a Gildan. I’m currently lounging in my Russell writing this. I was skeptical since most of my experience with Gildan has always been thick box t-shirts. But this dry blend is light weight and the fit is nice. I purchase a 2xl its a perfect weight blank t-shirt for summer.

Nice shirts, Gildan uses a heavier cotton, but they are still comfortable. The only downside is they tend to run small, their website says that Gidan t shirts run a little on the bigger size but that is not true. We will see if theses shrink up when I wash them in cold water.
