Could not be happier with my purchase. Was originally a little concerned about all the comments and reviews regarding issues with drivers, but switched over from Nvidia and have had no issues. I believe the issue most consumers are having with drivers is from older versions of drivers, thus I had no earlier versions and went straight to amd drivers and was a flawless transition. I can't really comment on what's it's like if you are upgrading from an older radeon gpu... but for someone who's thinking of switching from Nvidia to AMD I highly recommend. Amazing performance, nice temps, excellent software (infact I prefer AMD's software over nvidia much more user friendly). Granted I went from a potato of a gpu (MSI 1050ti) but getting literally 125% better performance. Example - was running Battlefield V at medium settings getting 60-70 fps. Now running Battlefield V Ultra settings getting avg 130-140 fps. If you want the most bang for your buck this is the one to go with. Very satisfied consumer. *update* - still very happy with this card for the price you pay you get really great frames without a doubt most cost effective card on the market.. if you want the 2080ti that's fine not gonna hate on them but you'll basically be paying $400.00 - $600.00 more (depending on model) for 10-15 extra frames per second in rare cases (very rare) an additional 20 frames per second. Now to some gamer enthusiasts that might be worth the extra money, but honestly hardly can tell the difference... if you don't believe me plenty of reviews and videos you can see that also prove the same point. This update is also to make people aware that yes there are issues at times with this card, but I noticed something very simple fixed all my driver issues and never realized my bios was out dated.. if you happen to be getting the kernal error report check your bios and make sure you have the latest version if not flash it, after I did that had 0 issues with the card and back to enjoying my games.

I was sent a unicorn of a video card when it came to the silicon lottery. Great performance for the money. Will beat or match a 2070 Super in most games especially ones using the Vulkan API. I lowered the voltage on the GPU and still managed stable gaming @ 2.25Ghz core and 910Mhz mem. Using default fan curve the GPU sits around 50-70c with barely any fan noise during heavy gaming. Beats the 2070 Super 3D Mark Score @ 8768. I attempted to record videos for demos using AMD ReLive software but it caused lots of stuttering in games. Switching applications using Alt+Tab while gaming would cause issues with Freesync or adaptive sync. Combined with Vsync it will lock your monitor to 144hz or whatever the refresh rate is available/configured but when switching applications then back to the game window it will lock the refresh rate at 60fps depending on the application used last. Wake from sleep would display colored dots all over screen. Temperature monitors like MSI Afterburner and HWinfo shows GPU temps above 87c and fan speed at 0%. This leads me to believe the GPU doesn't go idle when computer is in sleep mode causing the GPU to overheat. When restarting computer, same colored dots would appear and diagnostic beeps are heard several times indicating video card is not present. RMA was processed and exact same model was sent by Amazon the next day. The new video card was installed after running DDU in safe mode. It has the same exact issues as the first. Aside from all the software problems the 5700xt is absolutely monstrous for a gaming computer and would not hesitate to purchase for next build. I'm sure they will have all this sorted out in a few months.

I upgraded from a 1660 super and man I didn't think it would make such a difference. I have this paired with a ryzen 5 1600 af oc to 3.5 ghz (soon to be 3600) 16gb ddr4 3200. I tested it in 2 games league of legends and cod warzone. I know these are on different ends of the spectrum but yeah that is what I play lol. Anyways with the 1660 super with this set up I was getting anywhere from 130-200 fps on league at 4k maxed out settings at 100% utilization. Cod warzone at 1080p high settings getting around 80-105. With this card league is around the same fps BUT it's only clocking at around 900 mhz with around 60-65% utilization. Warzone at 1440p high settings I'm getting around 105-125 fps. I'm blown away. The only downside is temperature. AMD has the stock fan speed at 46%. That is not enough for demanding titles in my opinion. It kept the gpu temp around 80 to 85 but junction temp I saw as high as 107. I know AMD says 110 is fine but not for me. So I put fan speed to max out to 75-80% which does make it loud but temps for gpu at that point are around 72 and junction around 91. I will take that downside for what you get for the price. I cannot speak to longevity yet but so far I would highly recommend. Edit: I thought I would add as well I attempted to overclock through the amd software as well and set the memory clock, power limit, and base clock to maximum thinking "oh AMD wouldn't put settings in it's own software that the card couldn't handle." I was wrong. It caused the card to crash which could potentially be the issue for some if not a lot of the crashing people are experiencing.

Important: - this is nice gpu, but better take a look on PowerColor 5700XT Red Devil, it's 5% more expensive, but cooling on powercolor is much better, you can raise clocks and you will get 5% more performance. Gigabyte is good, but a bit loud when you put some load. - gigabyte software like RGB control or aorus software is total trash, it's so buggy you will not be able to configure RGB. I had to just remove RGB control connector. - default BIOS shipped with this card is pretty bad, it will set cooler speed to very low, so card temps will be 85-90 easily, so you need to set manual profile in radeon settings or you can update bios from gigabyte website, but make sure you don't have that high temps.
