I have over 400 games, but I didn't have anything like this one. So, I ordered this Giant Tower Stack game to have something new for our family Christmas gathering--and it turned out to be a huge hit. We had a wide range of ages playing—from 10 to 51—and everyone had a blast with it. We even had a 2.5-year-old running around who added an extra level of "unintentional challenge" to the game. After playing it, I’d say a 5-year-old could join in and have fun with the actual rules. They're easy enough and the game is short enough that even a short attention span can handle it. Gameplay & Quality ————————— The game is incredibly simple to teach, which is its biggest strength. You just roll the die and place the corresponding piece on the tower without knocking it over. The Die: It's made of a soft foam, which is a nice touch for indoor play (or for young kids who might get a little... overzealous... when rolling). The Pieces: These are a sturdy plastic, so they feel like they’ll hold up to plenty of tumbles. Portability: It comes with a storage bag, and I was pleasantly surprised that the pieces actually fit into the bag easily without any struggling or "Tetris-ing" involved. Why I Recommend It —————————— This is a fun tactile game that gets people moving and, more importantly, away from their screens. It’s versatile enough to work as a family activity or an adult party game. Because it can be explained in about 30 seconds, it’s perfect for a party setting where you don't want to spend half the night reading a rulebook. Plus, it’s one of those games where watching the tower get precariously high (and eventually falling) is just as entertaining as actually taking a turn. While I do think it's a fun game with quality components, it does feel a little bit pricey at $70. So--like everything, I guess--catching it on sale would be ideal. ... show more

This jumbo stacking block game has been a big hit with both kids and adults. The blocks are solid, well-made, and much larger than a standard tabletop version, which makes the game feel more exciting and interactive. It’s easy to set up and simple to learn, but still manages to get pretty intense once the tower gets tall. We’ve used it indoors and outdoors, and it’s held up well so far. I bought the Giant Tower Stack variation and it ended up being a fun new game that I had never seen before. The best way I can describe it is that it feels a bit like Tetris in real life, sort of, where balance and placement matter just as much as luck. The concept is simple enough that anyone can understand it in under a minute, but the challenge ramps up quickly as the tower grows taller and more unstable. The pieces are large, colorful, and easy to handle, which makes it great for mixed groups of adults and kids. The giant tower stack game has been a fun addition to our family. The pieces are large and chunky enough that even or 3 year old who has motor delays can have fun stacking them either on the tippy base or just on the floor. While we mostly use this as an outdoor game, it could also be played inside as it's not messy and massive. One downside we've run into is that rounds tend to end fairly early. My kids have figured out how to place pieces so that there are no stackable surfaces left. This kinda kills the game after a few rounds, but could easily be remedied by adding a rule that requires a stacking point to always have to exist. ... show more

I bought this for my nephew’s 9th birthday, and it was an absolute smash hit. What started as kids playing quickly turned into siblings vs. adults, all of us sweating over that last risky block on top. The balance board base adds a whole new level of strategy — every placement feels high-stakes and turns this into a real head-to-head challenge. The blocks stack smoothly and feel solid while building, but they’re still easy (and very satisfying) to knock over. Fully stacked, the tower reaches about 4 feet, which makes the tension way more fun than smaller versions. It works great as a party starter and ice breaker, and I love that it’s made from all-weather plastic, so it’s safe for outdoor use in the yard. It’s also a surprisingly good skills and strategy game, helping kids practice coordination and precision without feeling like “learning.” I initially thought the price was a little high, but once I saw the size, quality, portability, and how much everyone enjoyed it, it was clearly worth it.
