    • Best Phone Case Ever Used.

This phone case is the sturdiest I ever tried. The previous best was the Otterbox, but when both I and my wife dropped our phones, Galaxy note 10 plus's, at different times respectively, when they landed on the corners of the case, while indeed the phones were protected from a screen shatter which is their purpose, the perimeter of the case in each phone fractured. The Ghostek Nautical is truly built like a tank, with reinforcement at the corners which will I am sure take a direct impact on concrete. It is so well sealed that no water won't get through, and I do believe its spec of 20 feet immersion at one hour. If anything, its excellent sealing of the phone becomes occasionally annoying when the flap over the microUSB socket is closed tightly - it is sometimes hard to get it open and therefore, I leave it slightly loose unless I will be around water. Get the frosted version on the back, it won't show fingerprints. The finger print area has to be applied carefully, but good instructions are given, and as with all cases, make sure there is no dust or fingerprints already on the inner surface of the transparent screen - that should be cleaned off first making sure you do not touch the finger print adhesive area with the cleaning cloth. We are using the cases on our Galaxy Note 20 5G ultras. That fine camera system on the phone is almost a sure bet to scratch easily because it juts out past the rest of the back surface of the phone - and in fact without a case you should never put the phone down on its back. However, the Ghostek case completely surrounds the camera area perfectly producing perfect protection of the camera system. All the ports on the case fit well and one has no problem accessing any of them, though it is a bit tight for the stylus, but then again, you sure don't have to worry about the stylus ever falling out by accident and being lost with this case. I gave it a 5/5 in every category except a 4/5 in the fingerprint reader only because the fingerprint sensor is slightly less sensitive with the case on then with it off. However, this is a minor problem because the facial recognition algorithm on this phone is so effective and easy to use. Another big plus - if you use a audio microUSB cable to get music out to a pair of headphones, it easily will plug into the charging microUSB slot with no problem from the case. This is my third case for the same phone, a LOT of good and very few critiques. Pros: Really does a great job covering the entire phone. Waterproof works. Screen protection is top notch. The main reason I love this case IMPACT/DROP PROTECTION IS THE REAL DEAL. Cons: the glue around the screen protector does begin to wear and allow water and debris in. Foam around the camera and flash deteriorates (at a normal rate) if you take your phone out. Fingerprint sensor works but again if you take your phone out it's a wash. The only issue with the fingerprint issue I have is that for some payments or passwords it requires a fingerprint. So if your fingerprint isn't going through you HAVE to pull the phone out of the case. The constant in and out in and out adds wear and tear to the screen protector and camera foam as well as dirt to the sticky fingerprint sensor. OVERALL I bought the case to protect my phone and I drop my phone all the time. It has taken some pretty terrible tumbles and guess what? My screen is still in perfect condition.     • Survived a Slipknot concert! Ghostek for Note 20 Ultra

I haven't used the fingerprint reader as of yet! I use an 8 digit password to lock my phone! There is a slight bubble that moves around on it where the reader is, but that's my fault. I was in a hurry when I put the case on. The touch screen works with no issues with the case on! All the ports are sealed. It got wet! It rained on us in the lawn at a Slipknot concert! No water or moisture got inside. However I have no intentions of purposely submerging my phone in water! It held up to two major drops. One in the parking lot in gravel during tailgating! Only sustained a slight scratch from a rock on the screen protector. And another fall after a major moshpit broke out! It survived a Slipknot moshpit! No damage to the phone! I will say that in the dark, with concert lights flashing really brightly, that there was some glare spots in a couple of my videos when they brought the lights up to see the whole crowd. I purchased this case in June of 2022, and I really like the durability and find it easy to place my phone inside the case. The case makes the phone larger, is lightweight, and the case edges have texture for better gripping. I love the full enclosure protection and original purchased it for outdoor actvity protection. I also use it for whenever I work in the field vs in office for added protection since I've broken my phone before from accidental drops. The only thing I dislike is your fingerprint cannot be detected for use on specific apps. Taking the phone out of the case is a little harder because it's perfectly sealed, but not impossible; you just need practice. I highly recommend this case if you need full protection with an affordable price. ... show more
