This is my third case for the same phone, a LOT of good and very few critiques. Pros: Really does a great job covering the entire phone. Waterproof works. Screen protection is top notch. The main reason I love this case IMPACT/DROP PROTECTION IS THE REAL DEAL. Cons: the glue around the screen protector does begin to wear and allow water and debris in. Foam around the camera and flash deteriorates (at a normal rate) if you take your phone out. Fingerprint sensor works but again if you take your phone out it's a wash. The only issue with the fingerprint issue I have is that for some payments or passwords it requires a fingerprint. So if your fingerprint isn't going through you HAVE to pull the phone out of the case. The constant in and out in and out adds wear and tear to the screen protector and camera foam as well as dirt to the sticky fingerprint sensor. OVERALL I bought the case to protect my phone and I drop my phone all the time. It has taken some pretty terrible tumbles and guess what? My screen is still in perfect condition. I just bought a third case to replace my current one and a fourth as a backup. ... show more

    • Best Phone Case Ever Used.

This phone case is the sturdiest I ever tried. The previous best was the Otterbox, but when both I and my wife dropped our phones, Galaxy note 10 plus's, at different times respectively, when they landed on the corners of the case, while indeed the phones were protected from a screen shatter which is their purpose, the perimeter of the case in each phone fractured. The Ghostek Nautical is truly built like a tank, with reinforcement at the corners which will I am sure take a direct impact on concrete. It is so well sealed that no water won't get through, and I do believe its spec of 20 feet immersion at one hour. If anything, its excellent sealing of the phone becomes occasionally annoying when the flap over the microUSB socket is closed tightly - it is sometimes hard to get it open and therefore, I leave it slightly loose unless I will be around water. Get the frosted version on the back, it won't show fingerprints. The finger print area has to be applied carefully, but good instructions are given, and as with all cases, make sure there is no dust or fingerprints already on the inner surface of the transparent screen - that should be cleaned off first making sure you do not touch the finger print adhesive area with the cleaning cloth. We are using the cases on our Galaxy Note 20 5G ultras. That fine camera system on the phone is almost a sure bet to scratch easily because it juts out past the rest of the back surface of the phone - and in fact without a case you should never put the phone down on its back. However, the Ghostek case completely surrounds the camera area perfectly producing perfect protection of the camera system. All the ports on the case fit well and one has no problem accessing any of them, though it is a bit tight for the stylus, but then again, you sure don't have to worry about the stylus ever falling out by accident and being lost with this case. I gave it a 5/5 in every category except a 4/5 in the fingerprint reader only because the fingerprint sensor is slightly less sensitive with the case on then with it off. However, this is a minor problem because the facial recognition algorithm on this phone is so effective and easy to use. Another big plus - if you use a audio microUSB cable to get music out to a pair of headphones, it easily will plug into the charging microUSB slot with no problem from the case.     • Case not made for hand disorders

The case does exactly what it's made for, extreme protection, protects the screen, the phone is secure if dropped and the charging port is covered preventing accidental water contact. I love the Note line and I was excited to have a case to protect my investment. That said, if you have a hand disorder; Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, DeQuervain's Syndrome, Osteoarthritis, or if you have large hands, this case might be difficult to use. The S-pen and charging port covers are difficult to open with my 50+ hands. The case is black, making it difficult to see the flap cover that opens the S-pen/charging port. (Maybe if they made them a different color the covers might be easier to open.) Also, since I've purchased this case, my phone has been running so hot the phone has notified and closes apps. I have tried fixing this issue on my phone, ie, deleting the cache, reading through forums, and applying the solutions mentioned, but sadly, nothing seems to work. I have not had this problem with other cases I've purchased. (And yes, I am well aware there could be several reasons, specific to my phone, as to why it is running hot.) However, I have not had this problem with other cases I've used, but the cases I've purchased in the past have not completely enclosed my phone. My son has the S23 phone and a case by Ghostek and he has never had any problems. He highly recommends cases made by Ghostek. It is well made and a great protective case for phones. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a hard time seeing without glasses, or who has a hand disorder/larger hands because I have found the port covers are difficult to see and open. ... show more

This case does exactly what it says. It has an excellent well thought out design with well crafted cuts, grooves and rubber rings/ flaps to give that perfect water tight seal. It gives me peace of mind that my phone will never get water damage. It is a bit on the chunky side which makes it an absolute unit but I don't mind because I know this helps with the cushioning effect from fall damage as the phone is nestled in the case. The fingerprint scanner is a bit hit and miss but to be fair, a lot of the dedicated screen protectors out there don't even work but the built in screen protector that comes with this phone actually works if you press a bit harder. ... show more
