I had this case on an iPhone 12 pro, and it held up to all the abuse I put it through. I'm the reason my co-workers and I can't have nice things. I break everything. However, even after multiple drops and mishaps, including hard surfaces such as concrete and gravel, my phone did not incur any damage. I did not break this case, but my iPhone was no longer waterproof, and I found out the hard way when it was briefly submerged while in my pocket. I could have kept using this case for many years, but I could not get a new iPhone 12 pro, so I had to upgrade to a 13 pro. Unfortunately the case was not compatible with the 13, so just purchased a new case as a returning customer. I was really happy with the quality, and this case is half or less than some of the other cases that claim to offer more protection. I like it way better than the Lifeproof cases I used to purchase in the past, and they really only lasted about a year before the seals failed and they were no longer waterproof. I paired the new case with JETech screeen protectors, which were also compatible with this case, and I am good to go. This is a very well made product for a good value. My only complaint is the coating on the aluminum started to wear off on my previous case, and went from black to blue in some areas. Really, it wasn't a big deal, and it is to be expected under hard use. I think of them as battle scars! ... show more

Update: I’ve had this phone case for almost a year now. It’s been perfect for me. The buttons still push and “click” nicely. The case has protected my phone very well. I’ve dropped it MANY times, sometimes on hard concrete, and my phone has survived every time. The case does have some nicks and scratches in the aluminum now, but that’s to be expected when dropping on hard surfaces. It still looks relatively nice despite that. The magnet on the back is also very strong. I’ve been using a magnetic pop socket on it to have a handle to hold while using it. It’s never accidentally popped off. I did have to shave a sliver of plastic off the edge of the pop socket for it to fit snugly and be lined up straight, but you really can’t tell. I also swapped out the pop socket front for a metal rose gold one and it matches the color of the aluminum perfectly. So it actually looks apart of the case. I will mention that the clear plastic does collect fingerprints pretty easily though. Since my magnetic pop socket takes up the majority of the back of my case, I haven’t noticed or cared. But I imagine if I weren’t using a MagSafe accessory, the fingerprints would be a lot more noticeable. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase now that it has withstood the rest of time and use. I would buy it again, and if I ever upgrade my phone, I’ll be looking to buy this same model case. ~~~~~~~~~~ The phone case itself looks nice and sturdy. I have not applied it to my phone yet. And the reason being is that the case needs completely cleaned. It came with so many fingerprint and grimy looking smudges on the case prior to me even pulling the phone out, that I think someone else probably used this case and returned it. It does not seem like the accidentally smudge from a factory worker or packager. But deliberate, wiping hands all over it. It kinda grosses me out to get honest. The case was also not secure in the package. The top on the box is wide open, allowing the case to easily slide out. So maybe someone decided to play with it before shipping it out. I don’t know. I’m a bit disappointed because I just bought a brand new phone and I haven’t even turned it on yet because I was excited to get a new case on it first to keep it protected and keep it as clean as when it came out of the box. I will be cleaning the case thoroughly and hoping these smudges come off before I try it on my phone at all. Though I will say, the pink color is very pretty and the aluminum body feels sturdy and nice to hold. ... show more

I was in the market for a new case to use with a magnetic charger. All of the other cases I found looked really cheap and, honestly, kinda ugly. The Ghostek line jumped out at me because it looked stylish without being over the top. The advertised sturdiness was also a plus. Now that I have it in my hands, it’s even better than I thought. The clear backing, which I thought might be the flimsiest part of the case, turns out to be surprisingly rigid and I like how finger prints seem to immediately fade away. I would definitely look to Ghostek for any future phone cases I might need. ... show more
