  • The most portable, affordable, pedalboard
I love this versatile little baby. The loadable IR speaker cabs alone make it worth far more than the dirt cheap price. The effects, Bluetooth, amp sims, rechargeable battery, are icing on the cake. I plug it into my smartphone (my current phone requires a cheap dongle adapter, my old iPhone doesn't need one) and create videos/tiktoks/livestreams, etc without having to mic anything or record the audio separate and overdub it onto the video, and without ambient room noise. Sometimes I plug my full pedalboard into it and just use it as an interface, but it's got a good sound on its own. The Bluetooth is also a cool touch. I load backing tracks onto my phone and jam along to them. I was taking it with me to gigs as a backup, but have now started using it with a Quilter Interblock 45 watt amp for a full rig that fits in my gig bag (aside from an additional lightweight speaker cab I carry along). Can't beat such an easy load in/load out. My only con is that headphones can be deafening if you don't turn things way down, and there's no main volume control for both Bluetooth and guitar. If I turn the knob marked "volume" (it only controls the guitar, not Bluetooth) lower than about the 9 o'clock position, the guitar signal drops in and out. I'd suggest using headphones/an aux cord with a volume knob built in. ... show more

  • Great bang for your buck!
For the money, this is hands down the best little multi-effect pedal out there. The fact that it has a built in IR loader is the main reason I was interested in this unit and it didn’t disappoint. I like that you can store your own impulse responses over the old cabinet models and I highly recommend doing this if you have some higher quality IR’s. (You can perform a factory reset if things get out of hand.) The stock cabinets aren’t terrible, but some high quality IR’s really elevate the sound and feel of the amp models. There are a few drawbacks of the unit, which include not being able to fine tune the amp frequencies, but I dialed in some great sounding, balanced tones combining tweaks to the tone knob and different cab IR’s. The software isn’t very user friendly, but works well for loading the IR’s. Pro tip: Bring the separation percentage in the software way down from the default when you load new cab IR’s. Sometimes you’ll have a cab model that won’t make any sound if you don’t. Also, you can’t precisely adjust the reverb, chorus or phaser effects and it’s all in mono. The reverb is pleasant and you have more access to the delay controls, which is a plus. Lastly, there is noticeable latency and it’s a bit noisy, but I got used to it. Overall, I can easily overlook it’s shortcomings for the price. ... show more

  • Latency Test - Feature Review
If you are a traveling amateur / hotel room aficionado then this pedal is pretty great. Easy to use, battery powered, the clean sounds are reasonable and the dirty sounds are a bit harsh but the fine. The usual for a low end item. Ultimately it's fun to play with and is barely bigger than your hand. For $50 it's amazing, hands down. NERD ALERT! When I first played it, the latency bugged me so I did some testing with Pro Tools and discovered the latency is about 10ms (1/100 of a second), which is like standing 9ft from a guitar amp, except it's not if you have headphones in playing guitar in your hotel room. For most amateur players that isn't an issue, but for me I think it is, so I'm going to give it four stars and return it for the Zoom G Four, which I'd imagine is less. Other than that, it's solid and easy and fun with a boatload of easy to use features. The rechargeable battery is awesome. Update: I just tested the Zoom G Four, and the Boss ME80 (love that Boss ME80) and both clock in between 1ms and 2ms latency, which is basically instantaneous. This would explain why the 10ms delay of the Getaria bugged me. ... show more

  • Quite Versatile for the Price
Don't expect anything really crazy out of this little box, but I paid about $40, although even at $50 I was still going to and would get it. I'm using it for synths and it works great, it's a really easy way to add some quick effects with only a few cables when I mess around. Unlike another review I saw, you can actually chain the effects. I haven't fully figured out how to alter the chain, but if you look on the bottom it even diagrams the default chain. You double press two. So keep that in mind, it's not just a switcher pedal! Make sure to check out the manual, it's a bit sparse on details but it is useful. I haven't messed with the tone/amp, just a few times, although playing a string patch through it sounded pretty cool so I imagine I'd agree with those praising that feature as well if I listened to a guitar through it. ... show more

  • Best as an IR loader
A great value but not without it's flaws and weaknesses. The stock IRs are nearly useless. All if the amp models lack character, but the two clean ones are workable, with eq, potentially using a Joyo American Sound into it, which I tried. The delay is fine and simple. The reverb would be fine was clips easy and has a ton of digital artifacts in it. The modulation is passable, mainly the chorus, but causes phasing issues and a slight doubling effect. To use it as a more versatile IR loaded, it could work, just be Leary of how signal you drive into it as it is sensitive. Lastly you can use this as an audio interface into a cell phone and it works great in this application. ... show more

More features and professional tones for the money than any product on the planet. IR loader, amp and cab modeling, reverb, delay, chorus, phaser, three fully programmable presets, and Bluetooth music streaming for a crazy low price. Great as a practice tool, Fly Rig for rehearsals, gigs, recording processor, and throw it in your gig bag as a backup in case your amp goes down at a gig or rehearsal. Wow. Crazy this can be so good and inexpensive. ... show more
