Sturdy and secure, but very tight. If you have thicker calves I do not suggest these, or I suggest getting an extender for the straps.

They fit well and looked great, but as soon as I went to kneel, my knees were greeted with hard plastic instead of cushion. I thought mine were defective, but as you can see in the display photo showing the vents in the middle, there is no padding in there at all. If you’re crafty you could definitely apply your own padding in that spot and these would be worth it to save a few bucks because they are comfortable enough and seem durable. I would not suggest these other wise, they’d definitely help you save some skin but even a small impact from your kneecaps or elbows to those hard plastic grooves is not gonna feel good.

We use these for electric skateboarding. Liked: 1. Low cost. 2. They are built to articulate. Other low cost pads my kids have tried become uncomfortable and have resistance when flexed. 3. The hard shell gives more coverage than most. Disliked: 1. The padding could be more comfortable. Overall I would reccomend.
