I remember to take these every day because they’re delicious like candy. It’s a little treat that I look forward to. The cap is child-resistant, so it has to be pushed down to open, but as long as I don’t close it too tightly, it’s not terribly hard for me to get the lid off later. I like gummies because they are so much easier to swallow than tablets or capsules. They’re big enough to hold a lot of goodness, but small and soft enough to chew easily. The actual amount of “goodness,” though, is an area where I feel that these fall short. The lutein and zeaxanthin content are measured in milligrams, but the sugar is in grams (so for example, there’s three thousand times more sugar than zeaxanthin in these), and the vitamin E is the synthetic “dl” form, where only the “d” version is found in nature and shown in studies to provide the biological activity of vitamin E. This doesn’t affect my star rating, because the ingredients are accurately stated in the description, but I’ll be looking for an alternative with less sugar, more lutein and zeaxanthin per serving, and a higher-quality version of vitamin E (either d-alpha tocopherol or mixed tocopherols) when it’s time to re-order. On the upside, both the coloring and flavoring are from natural plant-based sources, making this product free of petroleum-based dyes, animal-sourced ingredients, and artificial flavoring. With 60 gummies per bottle, and two gummies per daily serving, one bottle will last you 30 days, and that should tell you how good of a deal it is at the current price. In summary, these are vegan, high in sugar, not very high in lutein or zeaxanthin, and made with synthetic vitamin E. The taste is great, but the nutritional value is unimpressive.

Even though they don’t have as much zeaxanthin or Lutein as I’m used to taking, they do offer it in smaller doses. I’ve been using these types of eye supplements for quite a while, and truly believe they do help. These come in gummy form so are easy to use, no pills to try and swallow. They taste very berry and are not overly sweet. The added vitamins are an extra bonus. I wish these had more of the zeanthin and Lutein, but overall a nice form of this type of supplement. These cost is decent and the sourcing is good.

I like the mix of supplements in these eye health gummies from Geri Care. Some of the ingredients are the same supplements in the AREDS and AREDS2 eye vitamin formulas, if you are familiar with those. However, these do not have all the AREDS2 ingredients, and those that are in these Geri Care gummies are in smaller dosages. I'm pleased these contain lutein and zeaxanthin, which are two that I like to take, for sure. I also like that these came with a seal across the bottle's opening, for peace of mind. I am taking these for long-term eye health as I age, so I don't expect to see quick results. Also, supplements work slowly over time, at least in my experience, so I can't really comment on effectiveness since I have been taking these only about a month. I do wish they were more comparable in dosages to the AREDS2 formula, but at least they provide many of the same nutrients. I like that these are gummies because I like to take one in the morning and one in the evening. However, I always have a hard time remembering my evening dose. Since these gummies are sweet and yummy, I have gotten in the habit of taking one after dinner as a little dessert, so the fact that these taste good really helps me out since it helps me remember to take the evening gummy. The label says to take two gummies per day, so this bottle of 60 will last about a month.

They taste great, making them easy to take, but I was disappointed to discover that these contain only 5mg Lutein and 1mg Zeaxanthin. While that may be a minimal amount for preventative eye health care, I have dry macular degeneration and need higher levels. The cost is great for a month's supply if these will help you. Speak with your ophthalmologist/optometrist to determine the best supplement for your situation. For me, these were not the right ones.

These gummies are good tasting and soft to chew. Suggested serving size of two gives you 5mg of lutein and 1mg of zeaxanthin. Additionally includes some vitamins C and E. 9mgs of zinc is also included, which I feel is beneficial.
