Great versatile sandalwood scent!
This Sandalwood fragrance from GF Trumpers is excellent! It’s very versatile and you can wear it formally or casually. It is great for Spring, Summer and Fall months.(I don’t think it would fair too well in extreme cold) The fragrance is clean and has a nice smooth creamy sandalwood scent. I started with the 50ml bottle to try it and will be purchasing the 100ml bottle after I am finished. It has earned a spot in my rotation.

Fake, Fake, Fake (did I mention that this was fake)
I believe this to be a fake. First of all it is 50% less than what GFT Sandalwood cologne goes for (which is a hint in a-half, but I took the risk anyway). Second of all, when I received the box, it was not wrapped in cellophane (as all new colognes should be). This indicates that either the cologne was shipped used, or it is a fake. The easiest way to spot a fake cologne is by the cellophane packaging. Most fake manufacturers have substandard perfume box wrapping cellophane machines. If you receive a box of authentic cologne from a reputable perfume vendor (such as GFT), the box will be well wrapped and the cellophane will be very tight to the box. A loss fitting cellophane covering is a huge hint that your cologne/perfume is a fake. That being said, this vendor didn't even both to wrap their package at all in cellophane. Another good way to spot a fake is to look at the inscription on an authentic box and compare it to the box your cologne comes in. If you look in the picture THAT'S ACTUAL USED FOR THIS PRODUCT ON AMAZON the front of the box should say the following under the name Geo F. Trumper: "Perfumer Established 1875 9 Curzon Street, Mayfair, London 20 Jermyn Street, St Jame's, London." This one says "1875 Perfumer Mayfair and St. Jame's, London." You can see the actual box at the trumper site: https://www.trumpers.com/product_detail.cfm?product=111547154 Finally, the smell of this cologne is NOTHING LIKE GFT'S SANDALWOOD COLOGNE. This cologne is well know for it's heart dry down. The heart should have a very strong amber/vanilla smell with huge projection and sillage. It's longevity is enormous (you can smell it on your clothes 24 hours later). This cologne has none of the heart dry down and disappears after about 3 hours.

Excellent Sandalwood scent for a reasonable price
Believe the hype: I got this after noticing the great reviews it got on Fragrantica, and indeed, this smells every bit as good as I’d hoped. Warm and comforting and classy — it’s probably the best Sandalwood Cologne around for the price. I’d call it Masculine but you could probably call it Unisex (though I don’t find it Feminine). If you’re looking for a great affordable Sandalwood scent to shave with, try Proraso Red. Most will find this better suited for cooler weather.

Best Sandalwood Cologne
My number one Cologne. Has a wonderful spicy sandalwood scent with citrus undertones. I like it better than Taylor’s of Bond Street which I find too sweet. I also recommend their shave cream and skin food.

Superior to all sandalwood colognes i have tried.
Just got my first bottle, I will buy again. I have tried Elizabeth arden,,, horrible cologne, caswell Massey is pretty nice, this however, is superior. Beware, it is not very impressive at first, it must settle five or ten minutes after spraying and then it becomes magical. I have found that it stays closer to its opening scent when applied on clothes which doesn't have a whole lot of sandalwood scent to it,but, apply to skin and sandalwood takes the four front and put the other smells behind it. I'm a sandalwood freak, I ware it directly on the skin and just a dash on my clothes. It smells amazing. When it comes to sandalwood cologne, this one has the most detectable sandalwood scent I've smelt so far, especially applied directly to skin, let the atomizer do its job though, stand back and mist yourself. Well worth the money and it has authentic sandalwood in it. Remember.... Spray on skin for the real magic.
