abunda_amazon_reviews Installed in a 2004 Acura TL that was experiencing a hard shift into 3rd gear - Had a blinking "D" light (drive light) when the hard shifting occurred. Replaced the old 3rd gear pressure sensor with a new one (28610-RKE-004). Shifts well now and no blinking "D" light. Immediately before installation, the transmission lurched often when shifting between first and second gear. After reviewing this site and others on the web -- and having this part being ID'd by my shop -- I conveniently bought this part from this vendor. The USPS tracking system was very good. This little part literally made my 2001 Honda Odyssey transmission shift, if not completely like new, then like it hasn't in quite a long while. Fair warning: It looks like an "oil" pressure switch. One reputable shop I took it to would not even entertain installing it, saying I needed a rebuild or at the very least a new solenoid. Another, this time a Japanese auto repair shop, thought it was an oil pressure switch only to check and confirm that it was also used on transmissions. They installed it, problem solved, and buying it on Amazon saved $40.00 off of the shop's retail part markup. I hesitated installing this myself though. It was up on the top side and pretty much out in the open but I did not have a reliable enough guide of some sort to feel comfortable enough to do this on my own. I probably would have done so had someone put something up on YouTube specifically for a Honda Odyssey. I used to get DTC P1839 and the code stopped right after replacing this part. My mechanic had to make space underneath the car to reach the 3rd clutch pressure switch. The splashguard had to be removed to create the necessary handspace. If you are one who is well versed with working underneath the car and with all the tools, it is really a 15 minute job. The mechanic struggled a bit to remove the splashguard which is really plastic pins holding plastic together...overall, it was done in less than 15 minutes.
