I was looking for a replacement to the Pixel 5 which I had in continuous use for over 3 years and still going strong. I found the Pixel 8 to be a good replacement, as it is relatively the same size, however, it is heavier. I don't like the big phones. The 8 is a touch taller than the 5 and a little deeper, even more so with the camera bump, but it feels the same in the pocket. As far as the renewed phone I received, it came in an original google box that had been opened but the phone appeared new on the exterior. What appears to be the original charger was in the box but the cable is after market. A 5g Verizon sim was in the phone. I have been using the 8 for a few days so far and all seems good. The 5 I had was renewed from Amazon and I had no issues with it. I don't see any reason to buy a new one if this is what you get for a much lower cost. body condition was rather good, but screen has have burns and it's easily visible on the white background, sometimes glitches as well.that is Charging cable included was lightning,and phone needs type c. Phone look & feel was great. I could not get the E-SIM configured to work with existing Phone plan. Verizon stated phone was not purchased from a verifiable location. Once I decided to return the Item. it took 3 weeks to get the Refund. Return shipping cost was initially paid by me. It was then refunded by Amazon. My overall experience - Locked Phones are basically hard to deal with. Seller was OK. Just don't expect that Seller-Communications will happen right away. AMAZON was great to work with. ... show more

I guess people haven't loved the pixel 9, so new pixel 8s didn't go down in price like I thought they would. I needed to upgrade from Pixel 6, and this renewed pixel 8 caught my eye just on price.
