It doesn’t look like it will hold up long at all in bad weather. It’s not even as thick as my grill cover. And I’m wondering if it will melt if generator is started.

It's a really nice cover, with a perfect fit for Generac XT8000E. The corner zippers and straps with clips, gives you options for access without removing the cover. The cover is easily secured to the generator with two straps/clips on the bottom side.
