Way cheaper than a transfer switch and more reliable. Fewer moving and electrical parts mean fewer things to go wrong when you least expect them and need them most. Installation took less than half an hour including reading the instructions and finding the correct size drill bit.

    • Will fit combo panels if you cut a corner a bit.
I needed an interlock for my meter/panel combo (20/40-30/42) panel but the D does not make one. This one can be modified to fit however. Take your time aligning the correct location and drilling holes and cut away about 3/4 inch wide and 1/4 inch high and file/sand to make smooth. Inspection went fine with the added square D breaker "hold down" bracket that is REQUIRED for code. Lose the zip tie lads and do it proper. The bracket is 11.00 at the Depot, coupled with this modified part you are code compliant. ... show more

It came with everything that you need. To install it. It took me about 1/2 hour. To install it. The cost of the item was very reasonable.

    • Nor marks to make a precision fit. Works on panel as pictured
If you only center this, it will be wrong. Drilling the panel requires clamping it down. You can gauge position best from the ON position of the 30A tandem breaker.
