This item worked great. On my Champion generator it states that the generator makes 64db at 23 feet. After installing this on my RV generator, I tested it at 23 feet. The loudest db I got even including outside noise was 37db and the minimum was 30db. Makes the camper so much more quiet.

Works with my “Firman 7500W Running / 9400W Peak Tri Fuel Generator” from Costco, but quite a difficult install. The screws are just barely long enough and the holes aren’t perfectly centered (but centered enough to install), so you will have a tough time installing. After the fact, though, it is a good muffler for sound purposes. Probably reduces the sound by about 50%. I initially had the idea of running my generator inside my garage and slipping the muffler under the garage door, but the connections are not perfect, and that would otherwise be a dangerous endeavor, as it immediately started smelling like exhaust on startup. I would recommend just running your generator outdoors for your own safety and your family’s safety.

It definitely quiets the generator down a bit, but the mounting flange is over sized and doesn't fit quite right for my generator. Which is weird because my generator is larger than the one it says it fits. But I have a fix for it and can report back once I manufacture an adapter flange for it.

This product is awful. Smokes, stinks, barely reduces noise. I would give 0 stars if I could. It scares me to the point I think it is going to catch on fire. Wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy.

Ordered this for a neighbor. He thinks it works great for the application. Only problem with it was the gasket didn't fit. Gasket should come with slotted holes also
