Especially for the price, I am quite pleased with this strong coated-fabric cover for Honda EU2200i portable generator. The fit is excellent. The fabric is heavyweight and PU-coated to make it water resistant (the fabric may be waterproof but the seams are not). There is a drawstring around the bottom with a cord-lock, a handy side pocket, and a clever top flap which allows access to the generator's carrying handle while the cover remains on the generator. The pocket and top flap are secured with hook-and-loop (Velcro) patches. At the price I paid this product earns its 5 stars, but it could still be much improved by stitching the seams more securely. Except for the central top seam, the seams and edges have but a single line of stitches securing a minimal fold of the fabric. At least fabric tape is used to cover the joining of the end-pieces of cloth to the main (saddle-back) portion of the construction. I fear that the seams will prove too weak for long service. I may try to reinforce them with more stitching or some fabric glue at stress points.

I wanted a durable cover to store and protect my brand new EU2200i in my garage from dust. This cover fits over perfectly and has a drawstring at the base to stay in place. There is a flap at the top of the cover which allows easy access to the carrying handle so you can transport your generator with the cover in place. I also like the pouch on the side of the cover which I use to store the owners manual and spare spark plugs. I like the Honda brand labeled covers but I realize that it makes your generator a big target to a thief so this cover is a better option for me to maintain a low profile. It is worth noting, you can NOT run your generator with this cover installed. It is strictly for storage. It seems to be made of fairly good quality fabric. I highly recommend for your Honda generator.

I initially purchased the Honda cover for my Honda generator. While their cover fits the generator like a glove, it does not permit you to run a security cable through the handle to protect the generator from the weather. This cover fits my 2200 generator a bit loosely on the sides, but has elastic on the bottom to keep it in place. The velcro closure over the handle opens sufficiently wide to run a heavy duty steel cable through the handle to secure the generator to my trailer while camping. This is a much more practical solution than Honda's cover for those who take their generator camping and need to secure it.
