Good generator for the money!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was skeptical about buying this brand since I have a Honda 2200 inverter as well that I really like, but I needed a 2nd one and Honda is double the price as this one. This does come with oil and a funnel for putting the oil in the motor since it is shipped dry. One thing to keep in mind that the overload light comes on for about a minute when you first start it which is normal operation. I bought this as insurance when if the power goes out since we get a lot of storms here and I live out in a rural area. DO NOT RUN ETHANOL GAS in this or any small engine! Lots of reviews on generators in general of sitting with gas and not starting weeks later. Ethanol gas gums up the carburetor if it sits too long. I run non-ethanol premium gas in all my equipment. Because of the amount power of startup on appliances, this would run one big freezer or a big frig, or a small chest freezer and a frig. Mine I run a big freezer, some led lights, router and a laptop. The 2nd Honda 2200 watt I run another small freezer and a big frig. It is actually cheaper to buy 2 of these then a 4,000 watt inverter generator. I have one that runs the upstairs and the 2nd one runs out of the walkout basement. I love how quiet it is and eco switch which runs at a lower power.

Great for price, size, and sound! A+
I have to say, I never right reviews, however with this purchase I found it a must. Like most of us, when I decided to purchase a generator, I started my online research. Everything about this one looked perfect, with the exception of the low volume of reviews. Let me tell you I really love this inverter generator. It was easy to fuel up and start with 1 pull. During my test run I was able to plug in 1 running shop vac, 1 running standard refrigerator, 1 toaster oven, 1 fan, 1 lamp, & 1 laptop. This generator was able to run all items at once, but could hear it get a bit louder when I turned on the shop vac with all other items plugged in. The light indicating a heavier load came on at this time as well to indicate nearing maximum load. Even so, the noise level was extremely quiet. I like the switch which gives an option idle the unit down even further than normal when the load requirement is low. I did purchase the generator 30 amp 125 volt (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008DIZYJS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) extension cord which will convert the 30-amp locking outlet to three 15-amp household outlets. This will allow you to get the maximum output of any generator since the full load cannot come from just the 2 standard 15 amp outlets on the generator. The unit is very easy to maneuver since it is light weight and there is a handle. I love the fact that I can plug my laptop or phone into it without worrying about an influx of power coming through which will fry sensitive electronics. Hence why inverter generators are pretty awesome. Quick lesson on inverter generator technology is that it "works by producing the standard output AC current like most traditional generators, but that current is then converted to DC, and then “inverted” back to clean AC power that maintains a single phase, pure sine wave at the required voltage and frequency. The result is much “cleaner” power (“pure sine waves”) than is possible with a conventional generator, essentially the same quality of electricity that you typically get from your electric company. Why is this important? Well, more and more products today use some form of microprocessor. Not just your computer, but also your phones, TVs, game consoles, printers, DVD players, and even kitchen appliances and power tools. And all these microprocessors are very sensitive to the quality of the electricity they use. Using power that isn’t “clean” can make these devices malfunction, or even damage them." So, at the end of the day I cannot say enough good things about this generator in regards to the 2 times I have used it. A+ in my book!

Junk
Generator would not run properly right out of the box. Motor sputtered and backfired, eco switch didn't work at all, and no power was being produced. Called Generac customer support, and was told to take it to an authorized repair facility for repairs. I asked them since it was brand new and never even used, any repairs should be covered under warranty right?....NOT SO. They told me it was entirely up to the repair shop to decide if warranty would cover it....ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I sent this piece of junk right back to Amazon. They refunded my full purchase with no questions asked. Had I bought this anywhere else, they probably would not have refunded or exchanged, and made me take it to a service center.
