This bean dosing dish is a lovely piece for my coffee set up and fits well on my coffee scale. It’s made of a nicely finished wood and of course the messaging is appropriate since I can’t get started without my coffee!

1. First thing I noticed when I opened the packaging was the finish. It's rough and uneven. It's shiny. It's a bit thick. Kind of like it was shellac'd in high school shop class. As someone else mentioned, maybe I'll also sand it down and refinish in a matte PU or just oil it. 2. Personally would have preferred a denser wood. The wood is light without any heft. On a few dry, cold mornings, it's slipped from my hand because of the lightness. Maybe I'll glue on an aluminum coin and rubber pad to the bottom for more weight. 3. The size is nice. It'll easily hold the 18-30gr of beans I typically need without spilling over. 4. The "spout" is just a cutout. A little bit of pucker and funneling would have been nice. But it probably would have added to an already seemingly high price of about $15. It works fine for pouring into a large hopper. You will still need to corral with your other hand if you're pouring into a hand grinder. Not a huge deal. It's better than trying to pour and shake directly into the grinder out of a bag. Overall, minus a few nits, it works fine for my needs. I'm not chasing after errant beans as I try to weigh my coffee for grinding.

The media could not be loaded. Love that it's wood and just aesthetically beautiful! I wish the spout is a little narrower since I have a D64 grinder with a small opening. I can see this beneficial for grinders with a wider funnel. Overall, I enjoyed having this accessory!

Nothing wrong with it, it works as intended, but I was expecting a better wood and finish for the price. At first I thought this might even be cheap plastic, and had to look closer. Looking at sanding it and re-doing the finish so it looks a little better. A bit disappointed
