This is the first time I’ve tried this product… I’ve tried other just regular gel… And then I tried dip powder which after several several tries I just got very discouraged it never came out right and a big mess big powder mess just not happy with dip I guess I cannot really manipulate it properly but I finally found the right product Poly gel and this will be my product for as long as I live it is wonderful it’s shapes the nails with the plastic forms it comes with it’s just wonderful and the price is fabulous delivery was quick I’m a big fan !!! Happy the way it came out on my first try and I know I’m going to be a lot better as time goes by… Truly truly a fabulous product!

I gave these a shot! However these are messy! I even have the lamp however they do not last at all a they feel thick or not thick enough. The colors never match right. I don’t recommend at all.

I really enjoy doing nails and these are pretty good for extensions, fairly easy to do and use and on myself but I am someone that does my own nails often. The colors are really nice and neutral to a little color which I love too!

Product is great and comes off in mins after a regular polish remover soak but like everything else you learn a few tips along the way 1) if your nails are shorter than the end of your finger you will need two layers before you start filing 2) you can paint over them with regular polish and use the gel top coat. It works well 3) file the top of your nails before applying gel The only possible thing I could say negatively about this product is the lack of a uv light. You have to have one to use this and it is not included

Only the clear gel hardens the way it’s supposed too. All the other ones never fully hardened no matter how many times I put it under the UV light. It did not come with any solution either to help mold the poly gel easier either. Also, Putting these on can be very tedious. They are hard to shape, make even and just look good period unless you spend a hot minute on each nail. It would be more helpful if there were forms in different shapes/lengths so you aren’t guessing each time you do a new nail. I’ve done 5 sets with this and do it step by step but the nails pop off within the first day and they all pop off within 2 days max, even if I keep redoing the ones that popped off. I’ve only had this for about a week.. idk maybe it takes more practice but each time it never gets easier, I spend more time trying to perfect them, all for them to look uneven and trashy and for them to pop off in 24 hours

Update: changed from 3 stars to 2. Went for a bike ride and a nail broke and easily popped off after having just done them two days ago. The point of gel nails is that you don’t have to do them frequently! I’ve done them twice in 5 days! I bought this because I bite my nails and was hoping a more substantial nail would prevent me from doing this. It definitely works for that purpose, but as regular nails, I’m not so sure. Pros: Cheaper than getting your nails done at a salon Easy enough to apply for a novice like myself, though the molds were more difficult to use than I anticipated I ended up just applying the gel directly to my nail, which created a nice looking result Most of what you need as a beginner is included Cons: Doesn’t come with a uv light or a nail clip to hold the mold in place Nail molds created air pockets which means the gel didn’t adhere to the nail as well as it should have After about two days, I was able to peel the gel off relatively easily, even though I followed the instructions exactly Overall, I think this is a decent product. I could probably chalk some of the cons up to the fact that I’ve never used a product like this before - someone who has done this before may have better luck. The colors are nice for me, since I like muted/natural colors. They’re bland enough that if you like brighter colors, you could definitely paint over top of them in one coat. It’s not a bad product, but it’s also not perfect. I think if you’re looking for something cheap to get you started, this is a pretty good option. Keep in mind that you will need to buy other items to finish your nails, I.e. a up light.

Im a novice. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos and then I started out using this kit as extensions. Now that my nails are long enough I’m using the polygel as an overlay. I’m very happy with the product, it’s rather thick/sticky which I think makes it more forgiving to work with. Kit doesn’t include a slip solution (you’ll need 90% isopropyl alcohol to use as a slip) but otherwise the kit has everything you will need. You may want to eventually invest in a e-file but you don’t really need one for polygels, just make sure the underside of your application is clean and you don’t have to file away bulk and use the hand files in the kit to scuff/file the tops for a top coat.
