Love this kit. The nails come out insanely perfect in such a small amount of time. Packaged well, light is awesome, colors are eghhhh but you can buy funner ones at Sally's, only thing I would complain about is the longevity. I can't get more than a week or so because I wash/use sanitizer on my hands so much at the hospital. I would say that is the only frustrating part although because I've tried other systems and know what I would expect...... I still would ONLY buy this system from now on. So 100% I would recommend with all the factoring in of pros and cons. :) ... show more

I would not recommend this product to anyone that likes to keep their nails done for more than 24 hours. I have tried to give it the benefit of the doubt over a couple applications, but no matter what, the polish immediately fall off. The LED curing light is so small you can’t even fit 4 fingers in it, and does not have any power to it at all. Even had an aesthetician try using this, and it did not work for her either. I started using gel polish years ago. I thought all gel polishes we're the same. Tried CND and countless no-brand gel polishes on Amazon and never thought to pay more to try Gelish. Well ever since working from home (WFH) started thanks to the pandemic, I stopped doing my nails. No point in painting then if no one sees them, right? But it was moreso because gel polishes never lasted on me. I always got 3-6 days of wear max, and this was spending most of my time at the office. At home, I have kids, pets, garden, chores. WFH, I'm constantly washing dishes, laundry, bathing kids, pets, cleaning the house, cooking, digging in my garden, and washing my hands, etc. Then after 2.5 years into the pandemic, I got tired of my nails being blah and wanted my nails done again. I got a new set of cheap gel polish. And for the first time, I realized that not all gels are created equal. This set, no matter how perfectly I put down the polish, melted under the lamp and flooded my cuticles. I tossed that set out. Then I got this Gelish intro set. It was my first time using Gelish products. Wow! What a difference! Every single Gelish product was top notch and works so well. The polish is super pigmented and smooth. Even the glittery red one only required 2 coats and the depth, dimension, and sparkle was incredible. No shrinkage or movement when curing. My manicure was immaculate!!!!! Also, I've had my manicure on for 15 days and it still looks brand new. No lifting at the edges either. I only removed it because it grew out too much. I cannot believe I have literally been limping by with cheap underperforming gel polish for years. It was never a matter of my skill. It was the inferior products I was using. Gelish is worth every penny. If you're on the fence, give this set of mini products a try. You won't go back. I know I won't. Last bit: Everything in this set is the mini version. The LED lamp is powerful but small. I could only put in 4 fingers. Did thumbs separately. Had a hard time putting my foot in... so I tried curing the Gelish with my normal sized LED lamp and that worked fine, too. Now I keep the mini lamp in my desk for touch ups. ... show more

This Gelish intro starter kit included everything I needed to get started practicing my own nails at home. I wanted to really test out the product before I gave my final review. I am a beginner and have never used a kit like this before so I don’t have anything else to compare it to, however these are my thoughts: The first thing I noticed was that the instructions was a little vague, especially for a beginner. I was able to google a more in depth version of the instructions for this particular kit, but something more should’ve been included besides the writing on the side of the box. The kit came with two different colors to apply, a pink and a glittery red/burgundy. I chose to try out the pink. The color went on smooth and wasn’t too thick or clumpy at all. After understanding what each product was used for, it was pretty easy to apply everything. The light included worked very well for me too. It is a mini light, so those with larger hands or feet may find it is a tight fit. However, I was very satisfied with this kit as an introduction to nails at home! It is very convenient. So far, it is still in tact after a week. I can’t speak to longevity fully, but it hasn’t peeled yet! ... show more

I ordered this starter kit and it comes with a nail lamp, 2 gel Polish in different shades of red, base Gel, top Gel, Cuticle Oil, pH Bond Nail Prep, Nail Surface Cleanse and Nail Remover. Almost everything that you need and are necessary to do your own nail at home are included in this kit.
