So I bought this hat to replace another Boonie hat I got at Target on an impulse buy. After receiving this hat, I returned my Target purchase because I liked this one so much. First of all, the all cotton construction is with quality fabric that has heavy duty stitching to reinforce the brim of the hat and other pressure points. The inside has no liner, which makes it extremely comfortable to wear and breathable for your noggin. The brim of the hat is 3 1/4" wide, which provides ample shade when out in the sun. The button downs are riveted to the hat and seem durable, with the back of the male button being located just under the headband inside the hat, which means no irritation of your head. All in all, I am pleasently surprised at the design, quality, and durability of the hat. You absolutely can't beat this hat for the price and quality of the material! It comes in so many colors, you can easily find one to match any outfit. I chose white so we could draw Baymax eyes on it for our recent Disney trip, and it was a HUGE hit! My son absolutely loved it and received countless compliments daily. The adjustable string was a lifesaver, ensuring it never got lost. When he didn't need it on his head, he could easily flip it back, and it hung comfortably around his neck. It also features side buttons that allow you to adjust the brim. If it's not too sunny, you can button the sides up. But if the sun is intense, flip them down for extra protection. Soft material, great buy

Bought this hat to wear whilst at work. From opening the package, the hat is so nice and soft. Fits to size so follow the size guide and you can’t go wrong. Quality is definitely top notch to other materials I’ve used in the past. Looking forward to using this as protection against the sun.

Blocks the sun!

I love the fit and style of this hat. It can be worn in different styles. It is very comfortable and is made of lightweight cotton. The color is a nice shade of blue. It has an adjustable strap to keep the wind from blowing it off. It gives protection from the sun. I would recommend this item.

Decent hat

Not bad for the price. The brim is a quite floppy, which may or may not be to your taste. Fit was OK - I have a large noggin (7 3/4 IIRC) - a L/XL in similar hats typically fits fine. This one in L/XL is a little snug, but will work - which is probably best, because there is no draw string or other mechanism to adjust the fit.. My biggest complaint is that it is not 100% cotton as the product title claims, but actually 55% cotton/45% polyester. Yeah, it says cotton/poly in the detail bullets a couple of times ... but still deceptive claiming one thing in the title, then another in the "small print". The chin strap, which I immediately cut off on principle, was unusually robust and well attached, which can be a good thing, or a safety issue, depending on your perspective. I bought the (subjectively) ugly loud orange camo, so that I can be more easily picked out of a crowd when taking my kids to an amusement park ... the color/pattern is glorious, and absolutely perfect for that purpose (assuming 10,000 other dads didn't have the exact same thought). ... show more
