I tried to make it work. I read the instructions, I watched videos on similar devices. This simply did not work. All it did was make a jumbled mess. And then it broke. The handle snapped off.

    • A bit of a let down

I got this to make making cords for my bags easier and this was somewhat of a disappointment to say the least. While the machine itself works, the included clip that comes with it was half fixed, the spring piece on one side was halfway off one of the clips and when I tried straightening it out, it needed up falling apart. Not to mention, it looked like it was a used set when it arrived; it was a bit dirty also. It comes with a few patterns to make and it was supposed to include some yarn for you to practice on and it did not come with it. It was just a a machine, clip, and instructions. The machine works best when used lightweight yarn such as category 3,2, or 1. Category 4 is too bulky, and won’t work with this type of machine which is a bit of a bummer as I have lots of 4 weights than 3. ... show more

    • Great for lanyards

Take the time to read instructions or watch a video on it. It’s easy to use but you need to know which yarns you can use it. The thicker ones don’t work too great. I wanted this to make emmaus lanyards. With a little modification, I can whip out a bunch and donate them for the walks.

I was so excited when it came in. But did not work. The hook would open but when you turn it with the yarn, it would not close so the yarn would just sly to the bottom of the hook and ended up with a big ole mess!
