    • Good Product in a time of limited Supply
I ordered this Pi 4 kit as there still is very limited supply in North America. The package came quickly and I was able to assemble it and get it operational quite easily. If there were a few more instructions on the overall physical assembly (e.g. fan and heat sinks to their location) I think I would have been able to assemble it even faster. Would recommend a reference to their website wiki.52pi.com that has more installation instructions would be helpful in the material sent in the box. Nice product and looking forward to the price dropping to the pre supply chain limit time as I need to purchase another set. ... show more

    • Easy Setup
This is my first Raspberry Pi I like the kit idea for a first time wish they would not include the sd card as it was not a good one and it broke. The HDMI cables are alright but really just need to get VNC going on it right away then it doesn't matter as much.

The kit is completed with all components to set up the Raspberry Pi (also included ). I recommend a different SD card, but the one with the kit will also work.

    • Happy with overall product, but provided SD Card and micro HDMI cable connector not very durable
This is a pretty good kit for rpi4B (case, fan, heatsinks, power cable) are all nice quality. The only issues you'll need to watch out for are the SD card and the micro HDMI cable ends. I'm using this as a Linux kernel development board, so i've been moving this around a bit to pop out the SD card to load OS variants with rpi-imager and opening up the cover to get to the board pins. After about 2 weeks the micro SD card locked into read-only mode which usually indicates that the maximum lifespan of the memory cells of the card have been reached; I wouldn't think loading OS multiple times as well as pushing kernels/dtb files and C program to the device would be too many write operations at this point of use. I went ahead and purchased a Sandisk extreme pro sdcard to replace it. Also, as part of moving this device around one of the HDMI micro cables gold connector started to get loose at the white cable base and have intermittent connectivity; I'm only using one cable so tossed the failing one and used the second cable provided (also ordered a backup from Amazon that seems a little heftier at the micro HDMI connector). Other than those few issues I have no other concerns, so gave this product 4 stars and would recommend this kit for someone looking for a rpi 4B complete kit. ... show more

    • Assembly process is not for beginners
Removing the protective film from the sticky adhesive on the bottom of each heat sink was very difficult, and in one instance, apparently not possible without separating the adhesive from the heat sink. Also, screwing the board down using the supplied screwdriver was apparently not possible, and was achieved only by using a larger-handled driver used with substantial force and patience (the screw holes were small and the plastic was hard and resistant to alteration by the screw threads). The screen flickers when I move the unit, suggesting a loose connection of video cable and mini hdmi port.     • Expensive, but Pi's are hard to find right now.
If you can wait, this is expensive for a Pi4. They're in short supply. The case cover wouldn't stay snapped on. Nothing a little duck tape wouldn't fix. Got this to control my Christmas light display.

    • Overpriced and bad hdmi cable
These kits are so overpriced due to lack of general availability. But if you need one, you need one. One of the HDMI cables did not work. However, seller immediately responded and credited my account so I could get a new one.
