Gear-It is my new go-to for all XLR cables and their Ethercon audio and lighting snakes. I needed a handful of short cables (drums, etc) and this six-pack of cables was affordably priced and worth every nickel. I bought them **because** I've already used their Ethercon offerings for 4-channel audio snakes (connected via CAT 5e network cables (I use CAT 6 and love nested parentheses)). Check them out (and my review here on Amazon). Brilliant (the gear, not my review :0). As a bonus, these Ethercon rigs are exactly what you need to control your DMX lighting if you use such things. I was using much more expensive XLR cables between a pre amp and power amp. I was quite disappointed with the sound, having just upgraded from an integrated amplifier. I then discovered that if I touched the cables the sound changed. I saw the GearIT cables on Amazon, I noticed that the male end had the notch for locking into my power amp connector. Since they were not expensive I bought them. What a difference. Each end locks snuggly into the pre and power amp XLR connectors. The sound is now what I would have expected.
