I was looking for a router and I found this one. I was a little concerned at first that it might be just some cheap router, but it definitely was not. The unit is pretty robust and fast. I like the fact that it had the fourth axis and the liquid cooled router motor. This is definitely a do-it-yourself router, in that you need to have patience and the ability to trouble-shoot. This is not a plug-and-play router. Of noteworthy attention is the spindle driver. Manipulation of the menu is required and comes by searching on the internet. The vendor was very responsive and did get back to me quite quickly. So I recommend this router as it cuts well, has plenty of power, and moves quickly. Got the 6090z, came with zero instructions, drivers, or parameters for the spindle controller or mach3. I had to hunt down everything on forums and YouTube… also machine isn’t tram and there’s no good way to adjust the angle of the spindle other than with a hammer and trial and error.. a couple of eccentric screws/ fixture clamps on the head for micro adjustment would be helpful. All the limit switches and e stop are wired together so no homing feature is available. And the stepper driver board is a cheapo 14$ card that can only run on 32 bit version of windows 7 or below. In the end this in a bit more than a good base for a diy machines Out of the box it’s fine for simple flat work/ engraving etc but you’ve got your work cut out if you’re trying to make precision parts/ double sided parts. Tramming the spindle in the x and y is essential. going to suggest the seller include some eccentric screws and shim material ... show more

    • Well built machine, but lack of support

Machines is well built and packaged. Arrived in a week or so. Most parts are preassembled, and can be set up in a couple hours, which is a big plus compared to some of the kits. You just need to place and secure the gantry assembly on the bed frame, and connect 4 cables. You need to copy the software seller provided onto your computer that's connected to the CNC. Also need to copy the machine specific drivers into the Mach3 folder, so the computer can talk to the CNC. Seller doesn't seem to have enough technical knowledge about the CNC application, and had to rely on support from manufacturer, who seems not that interested in answering any technical questions slightly beyond the basic product information. I only had the machine for a few weeks. It came with absolutely no instructions or any paperwork. To be fair, the seller did post two videos that showed the installation process with minimum explanations, and it's based on a slightly different version, but still helpful enough. Other than that, you are on your own for anything from configuration to CAD, CAM integration. There are great potential for this machine, if you are experience CNCer, or have resources to get you started. We are happy with this. Assembly was easy considering this was our 2nd machine. The only problem we faced was the cooling fan on the control box not being sufficient and the machine was pausing due to overheating. This machine has potential but due to the lack of assistance and instructions I would not recommend this for a beginner. The machine I received was damaged and I had to climb mountains to get an exchange. The learning curve is quite extreme due to the use of Mach3 software which is not included so you can add another 175 dollars to the cost. The second machine I received had issues with the controller overheating and creating a lot of scrap wood. Last but not least is the ability to get replacement parts if something breaks, you are on your own. ... show more
