What do you need from a gauze roll? Initially with my wound, I wanted breathability, so I bought a mega-size of gauzy, loosely woven cotton type gauze. However, it didn’t really have stretch and definitely required an overlaying ACE wrap. After I’d healed somewhat, I switched to these. My wound was slightly below my knee, in upper calf-zone. These stayed pretty well without an ACE bandage while fairly quiet in my home, which was really nice. If I was going to leave home, or with moderate activity, I would add the ACE. So, I recommend for convenience, since they stay in place pretty well. They aren’t terribly thick, but are absorbent and soft. They are pretty narrow and not terribly long - prob would be best for arm injuries. A bit wider diameter would be preferable for leg wounds. But I got by with them. Each roll was wrapped sterilely, which was important to me. ... show more

Seems I’m always saying “quality” as th important thing in my purchase..lol But it’s true, not th price, becuz quality comes in all shapes & sizes, rite? I read so many reviews, looked at so many products, til my brain was just swimming..geez But I chose this particular product & im glad I did..was just rite for me..I wanted one that was strong & firm, stretchable, but soft..one that didn’t ravel out on th edges or or so thin it was hardly even there..And I wanted a lot of it.. These fit my criteria to a “T”..I’m able to divvy them up to diff places, 1st in th home, then med kits for camping & hiking, etc..we don’t think of needing such products til we actually are in need them..a couple of days aft purchasing, I burnned myself really bad, it turned out to be a really bad burn..I am so glad I had bought this bcuz nothing else would hav sufficed, not in this situation..take th time to put tgether a 1st aid kit, hav at least a few really useful things in it for emergencies, that’s wat they’re for, emergencies..it’s far better to hav it & not need it, than to need it & not hav it.. ... show more

I was expecting cotton like cheesecloth, but these are more flexible and a little "springy". They would be good for wrapping limbs. I tried to dye them with tea to "age" them a few thousand years, but there is some synthetic in there that kept the tea from really making much color change. But if I wasn't using them for a mummy, that would be a good thing (no one wants to see your injury through the bandages!) ... show more

This is quality gauze, not like hospital gauze that has a loose mesh and no stretch. So easy to work with if you are bandaging by yourself. It’s like having an extra hand bc it sticks to itself. Mesh is tight and has a good amount of stretch. Buying this from now on. Great product!
