Description

Gator Frameworks Deluxe Guitar Performance Seat with 3-Point Height-Adjustment System and Rear Guitar Hanger (GFW-GTR-SEATDLX) The deluxe guitar seat and single hanger stand combination by Gator Frameworks takes the unique features from Gator’s proven seat models and packs them into one ultimate solution. The GFW-GTR-SEATDLX comes equipped with a 3-point height adjustment system designed to give you maximum control over your sitting position. Perform quick and easy height adjustments of the seat, backrest and footrest, along with a forward-backward adjustment mechanism of the backrest with 1.38”/35mm of travel. The firm, 3”/76mm-thick foam padded seat cushion keeps you feeling comfortable especially during longer performances. Grip tape on the footrest provides plenty of protection against slips along with rubber feet on the base of the seat to avoid unwanted movement on the stage. When not in use, simply hang your precious instrument behind you on the convenient, rear-side yoke to safely store your electric, acoustic or bass guitar. By eliminating the need for a separate guitar stand, the GFW-GTR-SEATDLX helps you maximize your playing area and reduces the overall stand footprint. The GFW-GTR-SEATDLX also travels and stores easily with its collapsible design, making the deluxe seat and single stand combination by Gator Frameworks the gigging musician’s best friend. • One of the best guitar accessories I have ever bought
Style: Guitar Stool
I worked at a music store for a number of years and saw many Gator products. I was always impressed with their high quality and this is no different. I have severe adult degenerative scoliosis and as one of the consequences have chronically tight hamstrings which makes it painful to sit on several surfaces. I play guitar for my Church and was using a wooden stool with little cushion. It was getting too painful to use it and I needed to find something else to use. I did a lot of research and thankfully found this one. It has a very well cushioned seat and is very stable and well built. I seldom use the attached guitar stand as I sit through the whole service. However I felt comfortable leaving my guitar in it the few times that I did. The only ding I would give it is that the rubber tubing that is used for protecting the guitar when it does sit in the stand wasn't cut too accurately and so the tubing came off easily. A little bit of superglue took care of that problem. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. Edited 10-06-23 The stool folds very easily and is compact and easy to carry. It securely holds a Taylor 12-fret 12 string as well as myself and it is stable. I'm about 5 ft 7 inches. ... show more

  • Suprisingly sturdy
Style: Guitar Stool
So good I got 2. Works well in studio and live (cool storage for your instrument without needing anything additional). Folds easy, super sturdy, good padding, looks nice.

  • Solves common backless guitar stool problem, but has design flaws.
Style: Delux Guitar Seat
I’m 6 ft tall and weigh 210 pounds. I’m closer to 60 years old than 40 and I play 6 days a week for an average of 3 hours a session. I bought this stool because the common guitar and amplifier brand stools (Marshall, Fender, etc) look great in a studio but have an almost useless amount of padding. So I put this thing together in 5 minutes; no tools required. Manufacturers boxing comes with almost no padding so the box was crushed in several places upon delivery. Thankfully, product arrived unscathed but I feel lucky about that issue. Chair and backrest padding is nice and thick, but not soft so if you expect a cushion that gives right out of the box you will be disappointed. That being said this thing is built like a piece of heavy duty gym equipment so cushions might just need some breaking in. When I first sat down the chair pad was set fairly low and the moment I leaned just slightly forward the back of the chair tipped forward off the floor. Looking closely at the design, the front leg bar of the stool is set too far back for someone of smaller stature. Once I slid the chair pad up, which moves the pad back from the front leg bar, I was able to alter the weight distribution enough to counter the chair tipping, but if you are a shorter person you are going to have a problem if you lean forward. Backrest is adjustable but again, not soft, and you only have two settings with a 1 inch difference. I’ve been sitting in this chair typing this review and I’m already uncomfortable leaning back against the rest, it just doesn’t have the perfect setting for me. But when I grab a guitar and get settled in, this chair resolves most of the issues of playing on a typical logo topped guitar stool. If these cushions start to break-in I’ll be much happier. Built in guitar stand is a nice touch. If price is an issue, I’d pass on this. But if you really need a backrest and you are of average height and weight, and you play for extended periods of time, you could very well find this a great studio chair. ... show more

  • Comfortable and Sturdy
Style: Guitar Stool
I like the height and comfort of these stools. I've used others and this by far the most comfortable. Import point while playing guitar, these have the right height foot rest so you are easy comfortable for 2 hour sit down gig or practice.

  • Great for performing. Guitar has its own stand and the back rest is removable. Easy to transport.
Style: Guitar Seat
I needed an open chair with no arm rest for playing a guitar and accordion, this fits my needs.

  • Fixed Height and Non-Adjustable Make This Guitar Seat Not for Everyone
Style: Guitar Seat
This coming August will make three years that I've owned this stool. On the plus side, it's been helpful at our farmers market and other small-venue gigs. I am a sexagenarian, just under 5'7". An acoustic guitarist, I have found that whatever 'bar' is on this stool being good for a footrest is useless because it doesn't boost the leg position sufficiently, and it can't be adjusted. The seat height is also a problem, being fixed, so the best I can do is sort o' prop back against it in order to preserve sufficient foot mobility to reach my effects pedal. Finally, the seat is sufficiently small that with all the other contortions. one can't plant one's fanny square on the seat. My co-guitarist, who also has one of these is even shorter than I, has nowhere to put his feet and yesterday almost toppled off the stool Efforts to overcome these issues always result in a sore hip and lower back after three or more hours of gigging, and that includes breaks, standing up and moving around. It's not a bad stool for an hour or so, but I sure wouldn't rate it 4.9/5.0. I've replaced this stools with the Rockville RDS42. A re-badged twin is branded 'Odyssey DJ Chair.' Ironically these were rated a point below thie Gator, but I've found them not only more comfortable, more strongly constructed, adjustable back, seat height and footrest bar well-rated and sold on Amazon. ... show more

  • Happily surprised; sturdy; comfortable
Style: Guitar Stool
I had a 4 hour gig and did NOT expect this chair to be as good as it was. Seat cushion feels a little harder but honestly, it was exactly what I needed. It's supportive and just soft enough without being cushy. Also, I was nervous with my acoustic guitar in the stand so I would push the chair to see how tippy it was. It was not tippy at all. I really did think it was going to tip over super easily with the weight. Folds up easy (not flat of course but enough to tuck behind the seat in my car just fine). Worth it for the 80 bucks I paid. ... show more

  • Nice and sturdy
Style: Guitar Stool
It was a gift from some of my lovely friends. I really like how sturdy and convenient it is to have one piece of furniture that can hold my banjo and case, and I can use for practice. Saves space in my tiny apartment. If I practice enough, and make it to a talent show, I'll also be able to use it on stage, bonus! 😊 ... show more
