Great little case for the price. Not what I would buy if I were a touring musician playing real nice guitars, but perfect for basic protection of my basic off the shelf Jackson dinky that I do haul around once in a while. The interior padding is real nice. The smaller size fits great in cars and stuff. Looks great, latches are nice and sturdy. I love it. I wanted a hard shell case for my Squier Tele, but see no reason for a case to cost more than the guitar itself. This case is the perfect option. I don't need a case that can stand up to rough third-party handling. I'm doing all the transportation myself. It's solid enough to do the job, fits the guitar nice and snug and is lightweight. This is my second Gator case as I have a soft case for my acoustic bass as well. They are well made and durable enough for my needs. Great value for the money. PROS: This is the second of these cases I’ve bought (for other guitars), and am very pleased with the quality of these cases. They are a little heavy, but seem more than durable for local travel. NOT a road case, but a solid case nonetheless. CONS: I will say this, they can run a little small. The last one I bought for a Bass, was a snug fit, especially with the strap locks adding length overall, so give yourself a little more length when measuring. Also, the inside of the case, where the storage compartment is, sets up too high. It still fits well, but the neck rest inside the of the case, puts added pressure on the neck, but doesn’t worry me at all. Plush enough that it feels well protected. Would like to see a snap strap added for extra stability. Will buy again…cause I need another Bass….😬 ... show more

Yes, it technically does hold my telecaster. 1998 squier standard telecaster. It had about 1/8 of an inch of space along the side and I had to floss the strap along the side. It closes snug with no forcing closed. Satisfied customer. Definitely better than a gig bag.

I have a few Gator items. I'm happy with all the bags and cases. They're well made. It's a way to save a few bucks but not get garbage. This case is a great deal if you ask me. It's a little tight but it's works. I actually like that it's so slim. It's easier for storage and it holds my guitar with it moving around. I have the more expensive case and it's great also. I just wanted to save a few bucks so I got this one. It fits my new EVH 5150 and it also fit my Strat. I'm left handed. So its important that my cases fit universal. A lot of times you will find cases that perfectly fit right handed. You need to check if you're a lefty like me. This will do the trick though. I prefer hard cases over bags for my guitars. This is basic. Has a spot for a bit of cables or whatever. The EVH just fits. If the body was any longer it wouldn't fit. So make sure your guitar will fit. I am building a custom guitar and am ready for assembly, so wanted a guitar case rather than a box. Ordered this case from Gator. You get what you pay for, but even for Gator this case feels pretty basic. It is a huge step down in quality when I know that have much sturdier cases without overly tremendous price increases. The walls are thin and the lid was slightly distorted. It flattens fine once latched, but could definitely have been constructed better. The case will serve its purpose for now, but I will definitely need to reinvest when the guitar is complete. Even for what I paid, I hoped for much better. This is far from Gator's best product. Good on a budget, or for a student guitar, but don't put your most valuable axe in it. ... show more
