I read the reviews so I knew exactly what I was getting. I’ve had mats like this for the beach but they rolled rather than folded so there were never any creases. The color and pattern is exactly what I wanted and the material as I expected. It seems well-made and reasonably durable. The only issue I have is that (as other reviewers noted) the creases will always remain. I understand that they market this as a foldable multi-purpose outdoor rug/mat but for use as a carpet on a deck or patio the creases aren’t great. I’m sure it’s easier to ship a folded product but sending it rolled in a long box would yield better results for those using as a carpet. For those using it for picnics or camping, the easily creased and folded item would be preferred. I do like it and it looks nice, but I do wish it wasn’t permanently creased. ... show more

Our main use for this is as an under-table rug for when we have guests, and dine on our patio. It works great for that, although I will say that it never really flattens out completely in the time we have it out. We don't just leave it out on the patio, as it would die a quick death in our 350-day/year sunlight, so I don't know how long it would take before it would lay completely flat. We're all young enough that none of us are trip/fall risks, but if we were older, I'm not sure that the rug would be ideal. We have not yet used it for picnics, but I think in a place where it could be staked down, it would work even better. ... show more
