I purchased this as a replacement for a deceased bow sonar unit. It fit my needs perfectly as I have a competing brand in the console. I like to use different brands in order to eliminate interference between units when both are in use. I didn't nee a high quality mapping unit as that function is in the console unit. This allowed me to get the biggest screen for the money. In that regard it does not disappoint. The screen is clear and bright and the sonar image is accurate. Installation is easy. I like the visibility of the display, the many options and it’s size. I have it mounted on a PWC. It works great! A tip: I used the removable adhesive and mounted the transducer on the bottom inside of the hull. Works great and it is removable if you change things up. Great product !

Your probably scouring the reviews to find the perfect depth finder…well thats time you should be on the lake!!! I shopped around and eventually settled on the Garmin 4cv. It is intuitive, quick to setup, durable, and hasn’t let me down. Other youtube and amazon reviews will provide additional details, but just stop and feel comfortable getting this one. The Down Imaging is definitely l worth it and constantly on my screen. Also i found the GPS mapping to be a hidden gem. I map the lake bottom finding ridges, brush/rock piles, and place a pin at each location i catch a fish. Bottom line, my lake and kayaking enjoyment have gone way up. ... show more
