    • Great for uncharted waters
I bought this to continuously map the a waterway that frequently has sunken trees and shifting sandbars and it has been great. The mapping will overwrite and smooth all existing lines and the interface is relatively easy to operate. Make sure the transducer is mounted as low as possible. It's large, flat profile causes quite a spray if it nears the surface when you're on plane. At 30mph, it was able to map up to 100ft deep before giving up, and I found the GPS to be quick and accurate, running side by side with my navionics. My only complaint is adding one inch in display size nearly triples the price. I think others would complain about the lack of pre-loaded maps, meaning if you don't know the water you're going in blind, but you won't find that at this price point and for $20 you can throw Navionics on your phone with their offline maps. This is perfect for exploring, fine tuning your trolling lines, and the downscan views were detailed and appeared accurate where the water was clear enough for me to visually compare. ... show more

Upon opening the package the box stated renewed, what the odd of not received no power cord nor transducer with the fish finder. No Bueno, how's this going to work going back on a return. Always good to checked and make sure everything is good and there before installation...
