This was an upgrade from my old 235, and like the style of this for everyday use. I was looking at the 4S and the Venu before I found this Captain Marvel version on the 4S platform. I had been using the 235, so I knew I wouldn't have issue with the primitive graphics. I love having a longer battery life and not worrying about charging my watch all the time, and the 4S has a slightly longer battery life than the venu. I chose this because I love Star Wars and Marvel, but I tend to stray from white, so Star Wars was out - I pretty much just prefer these colors. ... show more

I've bought this for my girlfriend to track our activities and training progress. (I've bought myself the Casio protrek HR, but that's another story.) She loves the captain marvel design so much. There's rubber band for exercise, so you don't get to ruin the leather band and keep it for other occasions. The Garmin app has awesome features. I literally use the reports to see if she's sick from time to time. Just that it's funny how the "stress" alert often goes off while she's having meal. When it comes to Captain Marvel, "i see it, i like it, want it, i got it!" When I initially got this, I was turned off by the faded looking graphics on the watch face, even at full brightness, like another user mentioned. It looks like the contrast is offset or something. It's not vibrant. It looks like the brightness is cranked up but the colors stay faded looking. However when there is minimal backlighting, it does look clear... not vivid, but clear. Having worn multiple apple watch models over the years, I've become very used to the brightness and clarity of my watches. I've never owned a Garmin watch so this is new territory. I was hesitant to actually use the watch because of the dim screen and thought I'd hold on to it as a collectable instead, but then I thought... this is a really expensive watch to just sit in a box on a shelf, so I decided to put it to use... and boy am I glad that I did!! I can't stress enough how much I LOVE this watch! I love the stress tracker, the respiratory tracker (i counted my breaths to test its accuracy and it's surprisingly accurate give or take 1 breath), the Garmin Coach, the sleep analysis, and everything else! The notifications work very well even better than my AW in my opinion. I can't respond through my watch (that i'm aware of, but I never responded from my AW either. I'm still learning the multiple functions (I'd like to test the emergency contact function) but it's definitely gotten me motivated. It may not work for everybody, but it's hitting all of my needs! I got it today and I'm returning it. For a 400 dollar watch it looks and feels super cheap. And the touch screen on mine didn't work. I was really disappointed.

Junk. Battery life is pathetic, not at all as long lasting as advertised. Now after 1.5 months of use it refuses to connect to my phone and Garmin app. Even after going through all the troubleshooting steps and resetting it to factory settings it remains an expansive paper weight. Very displeased as my Garmin before it was so amazing. ...this model however is GARBAGE! ... show more
