  • Garmin scale
I wanted the Garmin scale to coordinate with my watch. It met my expectations and Iโ€™m glad I invested in it. Highly recommend.

  • Works well, but can be difficult to install
The product works well once installed and seamlessly integrates with my other Garmin products. However, it was very difficult to install on my home network. It took me several hours to get it installed and working, and that was with a lot of help from internet searches on installation. I have installed dozens of devices on home networks, and this was one of the most difficult to get working. ... show more

  • integrates well into the Garmin Connect application
I picked this scale to replace my previous one because this integrates directly into the Garmin Connect application. It reported the exact same measurements as my previous scale when I compared the two, so I think that is an indication of accuracy. It is easy to use, just tap it, weight for the scale to light up, and step on it with your bare feet. ... show more

  • Awesome scale
I read a lot of reviews about the inaccuracy of the body fat measurement of this scale. The reviews almost made me not purchase this scale. Iโ€™m glad I did! The day I received the scale I also had a Dexa scan done to establish a baseline body fat measurement. I was able to adjust the Activity Class in the Garmin App to match the scan. This is a great scale and although a little pricey itโ€™s well worth it! ... show more

  • Excellent technology
This thing does everything, it tracks my progress with a line chart, and will tell you the difference in weight from the last weigh-in. It will also tell you the temperature outside! I don't know how it measures your water weight, but it does that too. I feel like the only thing that could make this even more intricate would be an estimated intake of calories, vs calories burned for the day. ... show more

  • Functional, Well Designed
Glad I finally made the leap to a smart scale. There are several out there but I chose Garmin because I am already on the Garmin Connect ecosystem so it syncs right away and stores all my data. Makes training more informed. One negative is, although they include feet for the carpet, this scale just will not work well on carpet. If that is your plan youโ€™ll need some kind of stable hard surface to put over the carpet and under the scale. Fortunately, I have a spare bathroom I almost never use so I just put it on the floor in there. Just make sure it is level because it is precise and if it gets off balance it can give erroneous readings. It can also be a little finicky to turn on or sometimes it does a weird hourglass thing and then turns back off. I think the hourglass is a rebalance script where it is assessing the stability and re-zeroing. So itโ€™s not as fast as just jumping on a scale. But I can get the data I want, directly sent to Garmin Connect, in less than 1 minute so it does exactly what I need. ... show more

  • Difficult to wake or switch users SOLVED
Scale seems to work well enough and WIFI has been working flawlessly. We had many failed attempts at switching the user and sent the wrong peoples weight to the wrong user. It says to "tap" the side to cycle through users. That rarely worked. When the wrong initials show up for the user that is not on the scale simply step off and quickly bend down and put your finger under the scale, slightly lift it up off the ground about 1mm and let it drop back to the ground. Doing this in quick succession will allow you to cycle through the users and not send weigh ins to the wrong person. Pretty lame that this is what it takes for my $150 scale to register a "tap". Data seems good, I haven't compared it to anything else yet but it at least seems consistent. ... show more

  • If you like Garmin it's a no brainer
I love this scale. It is really easy to set up and after that you don't even have to think about it much. I just step on it when I get up in the morning and get on with my day. All the data magically shows up in the Garmin Connect app. It's great if you are already using other Garmin products, like a watch. Recently I got a nice fitness watch from another brand as a gift. I'm using that watch but I still use the Garmin Connect app to see weight and other metrics that the scale records. There are a few apps that will sync Garmin Connect weight with other services so don't think you are stuck with the Garmin ecosystem. I must say I like Garmin's software better than the other brand of watch I got, but it was the top of the line watch so I use it. ... show more
