Like others have stated, when you describe something as a mounting kit you assume it is a flush mount plastic housing that your Garmin will rest inside of for mounting to a flat surface. Outrageous price for a foam seal, just use silicone. There is almost no value to this.

This is a foam gasket and a couple of screws. Not a mounting plate. Not worth $16.

Garbage. All you really need is the template. Guess what. The template that comes with this kit is not to scale. What's the point? So now you have a hole in the console that is 1/2 " too small and the two mounting screw holes are going to be off by about a half inch too. This is going to be a big mess.
