** YOU WILL RECEIVE TWO BOXES I panicked when I put mine together because the lights was missing. They came the next day in another box so. It was super easy to assembly. The only thing that was a pain was the amount of water I had to carry in milk jugs to fill it up!! The app is awesome and will remind you to clean the water. I’ve had mine for a month now and as you can see it’s grown beautiful. This this is very large as in tall. It doesn’t take up a lot of space but it’s tall which I LOVE!!! Now for the consThe system comes with enough of cups and pre planted seeds to grow. You have to have a cup in each one!!! I didn’t want to use all of mine because it’s just me who will be eating it so that’s a lot if one person. So if you order this you might want to order empty cups so you don’t have to use all thirty some cups. I had 5 cups that did not grow anything. No biggie I will just plant my own seeds in them :). The cups are 1.99 each which is a bit high. I do see in the reviews others are buying them from somewhere else. Idk if they will fit right. But I would think you could but the growing pods so u don’t have to throw away the outer part. To me that’s very wasteful and bad for the earth to throw away all these plastic pieces all the time. Something more green should be done with the company. They do give you free shipping credits each month to order the cups so that’s a plus. As for the cameras I think those are not even something I like with it. They don’t take pics right anyways and just weird to me but to each his own. All in all this is a wonderful machine and I do think it’s a lot better then any other indoor hydroponic you can buy. I’m in love with it!!!! It’s tall so very practical when growing large plants.     • What a pleasure Gardyn 3.0 is to use

I got my G3 and the pump failed after 1 run. A one in a million chance there but it happens. After a few emails and a scheduled call (with a real and awesome support person) a new pump was sent out to me and I replaced it with ease. My system has been up for a month now and I have harvested greens, moved some plants to kratky jars and germinated my own seeds as well as 100% germination with the seeded ycubes from Gardyn. I do maintenance every Saturday for about 10 min (check roots and add some hydro boost to the water) but other than that it’s very low maintenance and a pleasure to use. The Gardyn 2 and 1 reviews talk about some issues from the past but Gardyn 3 has had improvements to address those past concerns. I love it and my family loves it.     • Overpriced, high maintenance & breaks!

We bought the Gardyn 1.0 version in October of 2021. It worked fine in the beginning until we had to do the first deep cleaning. Several components broke. They were nice enough to send us replacement components but then we couldn’t get the pump to supply water to all 3 towers. We gave up for about a year and just recently tried to get it up and running again. We eventually couldn’t get it to connect to the app at all and the lights and pump won’t work manually at all without the app. Since it was now out of warranty, we took it apart, took out the old Raspberry Pi that was running it and replaced it with a new Raspberry Pi. My husband is currently working out how to program it to run the lights and pump again. I was seriously considering just hooking up a regular AC pump to it rather than the 12V DC pump it has, but my husband seems genuinely interested in learning how to program a Raspberry Pi. The prices for the cubes and all other parts and accessories are absurd. They have replacement tubing available for $15, when you can go to the hardware store and get 100 feet of the exact same tubing for $10. You can also get rock wool cubes for pretty cheap and put your own seeds in them and reuse the little square plastic things that it comes with (do NOT put them in the dishwasher though, they will warp!) They also sell stupid little plastic plant supports and stuff but I made supports with the galvanized wire that I use in the yard and it works great. The app is annoying and full of bugs and they’re constantly trying to get people to sign up for an overpriced membership, which is their business model. Overall, it worked as designed for about a year, which is as long as the warranty lasts. Don’t expect it to last much longer than that and if you’re not interested in taking it apart, replacing the raspberry pi and learning to program it, I would not say it’s a very good investment. ... show more
