I live in an apartment complex with a balcony right off the parking lot and by our front door. AKA: no privacy. This fit perfectly on the railing. I didn't use zip tie in all the grommets because I didn't feel like that was necessary in my situation. It definitely helps me feel like I have more privacy in my apartment because my balcony is at standing height, so people have a direct view into my living room through the sliding doors. I feel like I can have my blinds open without being directly exposed to anybody walking by. It can still be seen through at night if the interior lights are on, but it's still much more private than it was before.

It doesn't block the view 100% but it does help. It's easy to put up and more easy with two people because you will want someone to hold it / stretch it while you tie it to the fence. Other wise you may not a tight fit and it will sag in areas and not be completely straight at the bottom

This color can be somewhat sheer if you do not double-layer the fabric. I double-layered the fabric to hide the dogs and people walking past our fence. My dogs are reactive and people like to let their dogs fence fight. The privacy screen has helped along with positive reinforcement training. I also have fewer dogs charging my fence from the walkway behind my property. The first picture is an interior shot with the early morning sun on the outside of the fence. The photo from a distance is from the outside of the fence in the early morning before the sun was high enough to reach the fence. I attached them with the included tie straps to the wire on my Marlboro fence. It is easy to push the tie strap through the fabric if grommet holes do not line up where you need them to.

This privacy screen did a sufficient job on my small balcony. It is possible to see through it a bit, but not enough to find this product without merit. My biggest complaint was about the zip ties. These all popped during a windstorm. It didn't ruin the tarp, but it is a pain to have to not only buy new ties, but to reattach all the grommets.
