Spring has sprung and didnā€™t realize all my garden tools had rusted. This set was exactly what a wanted and when they arrived wellā€¦ exactly what I NEEDED! It took me a minute to realize the usage of the additional poles! They are extensions and they have come in VERY handy! They attach and detach quite easily yet remain sturdy while in place. The clippers are much stronger and sharper than Iā€™d anticipatedā€¦ so be aware. Iā€™m actually stunned at the priceā€¦ in a good way. Itā€™s my first time using gardening tools with this much length for a handle. It takes a bit to get used to and the right situation. When kneeling it can be a bit awkward until you learn how to get good leverage using them with two hands. In a situation going where you are using a gardening pot they are very helpful because you donā€™t have to bend over as far. You can always unscrew them and use them with a shirt handle as well if you prefer. Overall a nice product that gives you a little flexibility depending on your needs. The only reason for 4 stars is the handle can get a little slick since itā€™s not a rubber coating. For the price though a great buy ... show more

Nice set with attachments to extend your reach. I have an 24 inch elevated garden, with a 20 inch wood netting enclosure to keep my chickens out. Typically to reach the back area, I have to get into the bed to access the furthest area. With this set, I can easily do many of the things from outside the bed. For those times when the handle extensions aren't needed, they simply unscrew easily. The handles of the tools and extensions are coated in a Hammertone type of finish with a textured finish which aides in the grip. There are two sizes of shovels and I find the smaller of the two is well suited for using with planting trays. The included pruning clippers work well, but I fell that the handle grip material is a bit thin and hard, and isn't the best material to aide in gripping. A minor nit pick, but worth mentioning. All in all, a good set with a nice array of tools that any gardener will appreciate, especially at this price point. ... show more

My 2 photos are what they look like without the extension poles. Overall, this set is fairly decent. It will definitely work for a garden and could definitely be setup for kids sized tools. My issue with these comes in with the grip. I have nerve damage and they are just so long and straight, it's hard to grip them firmly. These are definitely ones I need to buy some foam grips for if I use them myself. Other people who have nerve problems or arthritis may struggle the same way. Great concept, just not entirely suitable for all people. Regardless, these will be something I definitely use, and let my 7 year old use to help me in my garden this year. They are durable enough they should work just fine. I still gave these 5 stars because despite my personal issue, these are exactly as described, and though I will struggle to use them, my fiance, child, and others around me, probably will not. Overall, a good set worth a try, especially if you have child helpers. ... show more
